Food is delicious but the restaurant itself is very old fashion Chinese styled.. it's clean though..

The best food and the best people. I don't think I have ever had as much fun at a restaurant before. Lots of great food, great people drinking dancing and singing it doesn't get any better. The place is huge but you feel included in some great family of friends. Everyone is smiling and laughing from children to grand parents. A truly unique and great experience I eat there as often as I can.

It's one of the legendary Chinese food restaurant in Surabaya, its originally located in pasar atom area in the old Surabaya town area.

Best Chinese restaurant in town. They're still sticking to their traditional Chinese roots and won't compromise quality and quantity. Very difficult to see this kind of restaurant these days.

While other Chinese restaurants bombard customers with promos and stuff, resulting in paying more than what they get, Nan Yuan doesn't.

Sure, it's a bit pricey, but they have been in business for OVER 70 YEARS. They know how to make REAL Chinese dishes, and with how much you pay, you get more than what you pay.

People these days tend to swoon over new restaurants and cafes, and I believe Nan Yuan Restaurant is the best underrated restaurant in Surabaya.

Oh, and for those who are saying "old" as if it's a bad thing, maybe you should try and come here more often, try the vast selection of dishes this place has to offer and I can guarantee you won't be dissatisfied.

This resto has the best beef offering. Soft and nothing left behind between your teeth. One portion for 100k is quite expensive though.
