Let's just talk about the food, because the place is not clean i smell something bad. But the food is yummy, im personally dont like lontong but this one i finish my plate.

If you craving lontong balap, one of signature dish of Surabaya, you have to come here.

The dish itself made from lontong (rice cake), fried tofu, lento (fritters made from red bean/lentils) and bean sprouts with a litte bit sweet savory broth. The dish usually eaten with side dish, clams satay.

This place is legendary beside lontong balap garuda, and only serve this menu, nothing else. The dinning space is huge enough to acomodate up to let say, 40-50 people. But, downside is the dinning room not up to my cleanliness standard.

Service is quick and staff is friendly. There is parking space up to 4 car and unlimited space beside curbside of Embong Malang street.

Strategic location, nearby with Tunjungan Plaza. The taste of "Lontong Balap u0026 sate kerang" was good.

I really love Indonesian foods, really almost all kinds of it. So, I was 100% sure that I would definetely love this food, too. We went here to try Lontong Balap for the first time. But regretfully, I didn't really enjoy my "lontong balap" here. Idk why, it just didn't taste as good as I imagined it would be. I was expecting a strong savory taste, like in other local foods that I have tried before. But this is more like bland, and I only remember its sweetness, nothing more.

They serve other seasonings on the table, too, like sweet and salty ketchup, chili sauce etc. Maybe we are expected to mix our food with those according to our own taste, Idk. Or maybe it is just my tongue. But this place is quite well-known among tourists, to try Lontong Balap as one of Surabaya's signature dish.

for IDR 19K.. i had surabayan style "kupat" and hot tea. Maybe it's just me.. but the dish taste flat.. the serving looks like a huge portion.. but in fact.. not much in it.. there must be other worth visit culinary in surabaya.. this one is just.. i guess not.. to my taste at least.. sorry.. not really sure why this place has much of the hype.. the place is quite spacious and relatively clean.. no flies.. parking space is available yet limited
