This place is horrendous. An absolute scam. Firstly, everything is old and rundown. Dust everywhere, the room was barely cleaned before we entered. We had to ask the housekeeper to clean the room again and spray air freshner since the room smelled like cigarettes. Second, the location is terrible, the parking lot smelled like garbage water. The hotel outside even looked like a haunted house. Lastly, the air conditioner in our room is pathetic, it felt hot, humid, and suffocating.

Other than that, the bedsheets were terrible. You cant open the window so theres no view and barely any ventilation. There was no light bulb in the center of the room, so it was very dark. The bathroom is nasty, it flooded everywhere, there was no hanger inside where you can put your clothes.

This place is an absolute disgrace. We got it thinking it was good since Horison is a famous name. I am writing my experience here in hopes other people dont fall for their scam. What they post online is very different from reality.

A hotel with strategic location and good service, but the rooms are old-fashioned, and some with broken AC

Clean, spacious room, working facilities and amenities, friendly staffs, afforble price.

A good place to sleep.. the room is good for a deep sleep.. but I think it's not recommend for staycation.. the swimming pool and gym just open at 08.00 until 17.00 WIB and it didn't over a good view at all room. I suggest you book room number 612. It've a good view..
The food are good.
Clean. And it's save to stay in here..

Too old need to upgrading, the pool little spooky the water not clean.
Our rooms smell bad and stagnant bath water

Hotel located in Semarang downtown area, easily spot from the main road, a well know hotel in Semarang (everyone knows). it is also near the Train station and various local attraction.

while finding the hotel is a fairly easy task, parking is more challenging, with the limited parking space and become worst during the weekend or holiday season.

Room is OK, good clean room, with fairly fast wifi, breakfast taste good, complement with swimming pool and Gym.

the hotel is famous for the family / group check in, swimming pool also favorite for the kids, during holiday season this pool crowded most of the times.

A strong option for quick escape place with or without your family.
