Aston Semarang Hotel and Convention Center

This hotel located near Kota Lama Semarang and train station. It only took less than 30 minutes from airport. Their staff was hospitable and quick response. Their food menu was various and delicious. Their balroom was great. Good sound, high ceiling, and good ambience. Their room was clean although it was not big enough. Moreover, I think they should add parking space.

This is good hotel. But for long stay has to think about laundry, bad laundry service ever. You will not get your laundry back in the same day many time, sometimes in 2 days, on the 3th days i just notice that i don't have any uniform for work. I complain to the manager, after complain i get may laundry back in the same day, but not for long, after 1 week it's start again, you have to call to get your laundry back

Right on the strategies location. Easy to reach easy to access. Semarang Old City is on the hook, train station is nearby also. Souvenir stores are spread around there. Signature foods or another kind of merchandise are also easy to find. The most specific I remember about this hotel is that the swimming pool is not large enough..**in my opinion..since I found larger swimming pool in another hotel with the same class. Overall..everything is fine for me..❤

This hotel has a good location.
You can reach kota lama and tawang train station by walk.
There are alfamart 24 hours convenience store in front of the hotel.
The room is big enough, good facilities and equipped with bathtub even for standard room.
The air con is cold, very comfortable.
Food for breakfast is good enough.
The main concern is dirty swimming pool.
A lot of sand and dust inside the pool.

This hotel is a nightmare. I can't check in at 2 PM, which is their standard check in time. Was informed that the hotel is lack of staff. Had to wait for an hour. Tried to call front desk/ house keeping multiple times during my 3-nights-stay. Got answered literally once. I have to go all the way down to the front desk every time I need something, which is a lot. They actually served stale food in one of my office event. Every time they serves fruits, it looks like they got it from other restaurant's leftover somewhere. THE BLANKET IS STAINED, THEY DID NOT CHANGE IT ONCE, although I already put the wash-card since the first day. Will not comeback here, will not recommend anyone to stay here. They should just put the police line in this establishment.

I stayed here for just a night. The room i stayed just like any 3 star hotels in java.. The breakfast was so nice.. they provided various of foods, western, japanese, and local foods. The swimming pools near to the restaurant, so you can eat and maybe swim at the same time..

The reception and boy service were both very friendly. The lobby was nice looking but full of aggressive mosquitoes, the provided free lobby drink was some sirupy extremely sweet orange concentrate. The room 737 was relatively small and almost clean (apart from the big stain on the carpet). The bathtub had partly destroyed email porcelain and also dropping water. The small sofa chair in our room hurt our hands because the back rest was broken. There was no hair dryer or body lotion. The towels smelled totally molded and also were not bright white anymore but light grey instead. The aircon worked pretty well and the bed was comfy. The room insulation through the windows was good but you could hear when anybody was speaking in the corridor or the beeps of the elevator through the whole night. The view was ok on the city rooftops and down to the pool. The wifi worked properly. The pool was tiny and the water in it cold. The gym was very small, spartiate equipped with only two treadmills and one bike. The so called spa area was providing only massage upon request and no other services. The hotel was at walking distance from the train station and from the lively street full of small restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was under our expectations. There was no muesli, the fruits were neither ripe nor well presented (papaya, two sorts of melon and snake fruit), the pastries were not that tasty and the chicken soup was extremely salty. We liked their breakfast noodles, eggs and fried tempeh. The toilets beside the breakfast area were very poorly designed at the women part so it made it hard to enter the bathroom ???? without doing a noodle beside the wall, there was simply not enough space between the door and the toilet bowl when I was opening opening the door. The handle to get out of the toilets was also in a bad shape. Overall the hotel needed a much better keeping and maintenence.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend Aston Semarang and we would probably not come back. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
