Ha-Ka Hotel Semarang

I couldn't understand why this hotel has 4 star rating in Google. I guess if you see the old reviews (from 2 yrs ago or older), it used to be good. Sort reviews by most recent and you can see a better picture of this place.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 5 (check in time is 2 pm). And we weren't the only guest who had the issue. Either the hotel didn't have enough cleaning staff, or they didn't clean quick enough.
When we went up to our room, we overheard the cleaning staff in another room making fun of the guests' complaints.

Bed sheet and pillow cases have stains. Bath towels are not uniformly white, some old stains all over.
Huge cobwebs near the lobby lifts area. Seriously?!

You could also hear the traffic from the room and aircon is not cold.

Not returning.

Perfect location downtown. Nice rooms, although the wifi is really slow. So not really good place for business trip. But the food was great. I wish the parking spot is bigger.

Lot of Cockroaches and small parking area, should park in a field across hotel, with puddle and mud. Buffet bfast quite variety but the taste is not to good. Cheap if you buy online in advance.

Processing a full refund from this hotel due to the room are dirty, the bathroom also terrible (mirror wasnt cleaned, the mat has dirty stain and seems like it havent replaced to the new one, amenities are has tooth paste stain)
So many dust and hairfall in the room.
We were given smoking room, FO told us that non smoking room are unavailable.
But then i heard the next guest are offered with non smoking room.

The linen was spot (duvet and sheet) and used by previous guest (they didn't change), I ask to change all linen to housekeeping and they are following up immediately.

Located in the heart of Semarang. The food was so-so, but the service is very good. I appreciate all the kindness of the staff, especially Mbak Dhita who help our event back then. The staff was responsive and friendly, i got problems in breakfast but the staff handle it so quickly so my guest can enjoy the breakfast. The room is so clean, but the water in the toilet is so small when the room is on full occupation. I would definitely come again
