Do yourself a favor and visit this cozy restaurant. Its located right in the center of the city and has left the best impressions. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The interior is sooo nice with several bookshelves and has a dim light nuance. They have hundreds of books; politics, novels, inspirational, philosophy, encyclopedia, tourism, even manga. Bookshelves are available in both first and second floor.

The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, I remember the first time I eat here, he and his wife were so friendly sharing their knowledge about vegetarian food and make great recommendations. Ah and plus, they speak english very well.

For me, Socrates Vegan is the calmest and warmest place in town. This place spreads calmness and very peaceful.
Also, they serve very delicous food and drinks. When you hang out here, you will be happy surrounded by books. I love to come back here when i need to break from my chaotic routine.

A peaceful place with amazing interior design. You should go and see it yourself :) The food was exquisite and freshly cooked, I have never seen such a wide range of vegan dishes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very good all vegan food set in a nice decor. Tip: try the 'pecel', vegetables with chunky peanut sauce (even better than gado gado) The place is filled with an extensive book collection and interesting objects. We had a very pleasant conversation with the friendly owner, who even gave us some suggestions for our further travels in Sumatra.
