One of the best coto in town. As usual, it is served with rice cakes ,but here they serve the rice cake warm and fresh as the Coto, definitely mouth watering! The Coto is full with meat, so tasty! Don't forget to add some lemon sliced and chilli. This restaurant only accept CASH PAYMENT. the neighborhood is in the crowded area and the parking lot is not too big. It will be quite full during meal time and weekends.

Coming from Bandung and having primarily living in Java and Sumatra, I wasn't sure what I tasted. It was savoury, a little bit bitter. Because I ordered the mixed beef I got mostly offal, which gave interesting and different texture on each bite. I like it though.

Actually, I haven't been here but I have been in their first restaurant on Jl. Nusantara and I can say that they have the most delicious coto in Makassar or even in the world cause coto originated in Makassar ????

I first ate coto makasar at Coto Nusantara in 1975, three years after it opened. I loved it then, and I still love it now, more than 40 years later. It ranks among my very favorite traditional Indonesian cuisines. The soup is dense and flavorful, the meats perfectly spice and rich in texture. Spoon in some sambal and squeeze some jeruk nipis, grab a ketupat and dig in!
There's an aphorism in the US that goes, 'If it ain't busted don't fix it!' Coto Nusantara 2 is close to perfection. Please don't change anything...

Authentic traditional local food of Makassar.
The soup is thick, rich and full of spice.
You can choose either only the beef meat or you want to explore more of your adventerous culinary side such as cheek, tongue, brain, liver, heart and other intestines of a cow.
You can enjoy the coto with ketupat which is a local rice cake wrapped in leaves.
Condiments like fried shallot, scallion, extra salt, lime juice, chili and sweet soy sauce are there to complement your dining experience.

Super fast service, super yummy food. Went with my 7 year old and we each had two Coto and a pile of ketupat. Highly recommended.

a bit too expensive for me, but also worth it because they're very generous with the meat in the coto. delicious
