This place deserve a 6 stars !!
Our host Fendi is just unbelievably helpful. He took care of us for the lunch and dinner, for the visit of the temple (he took us there at 4:30am), for the bus to go to Jakarta... we couldn't expect better. Thanks to him
The room is simple but clean and we slept well.
Hot water in the bathroom!
Free coffee and tea and fresh water.
For this price there is no hesitation to choose this place !

Unbelievable place and unbelievably kind stuff also! Nothing wasn't problem there. We can do loundry there, we had free coffee u0026 tea any time. We could use a fridge. Very tasty breakfast too.
People there can speak english very well, so you can ask them for anything, for example some good places around etc.
We are glad that we spend three nights right there. It was a pleasure.

My stay at Griya Harja Homestay could not have been better! Even though I was only able to stay one night, Yudo and his staff treated me like family! They’re also fluent in English so we were able to have some great conversation.

Yudo arranged for me to use a motorbike when I was there. That was incredibly helpful and saved me some time and money (I didn’t have to wait and pay for a Grab Bike). I loved having the freedom of visiting the area and meeting some locals.

The Homestay provides free water from a water jug (hot and room temperature). I was able to fill my water bottle up with clean water. Such a nice touch!

There’s a private, en-suite bathroom. It doesn’t have hot water, but the shared bathroom does. The water was very hot and had good water pressure.

The WiFi was solid. It stayed connected while I was there (speed: 10.2 mbps download; 2.7 up).

I wish I could’ve stayed a lot longer. I’m sure you’ll love your stay at Griya Harja Homestay and enjoy talking with their helpful staff, too!

Loved the location, no more than 10 minutes away from the centre atractions! Such an acomodating homestay, big thanks to Fendi for that( and the local Tempe which he supplied and cooked was the best I have had)! Clean and friendly environment, the shower was super hot and the wifi was good + breakfast included.
Fendi went above and beyond for us, we wanted bus tickets to Jakarta for the following day, and it was the last weekend of holidays and we couldn't find any tickets, but he spent alot of time calling around and then next morning he said yes you leave this afternoon, crazy lucky!
And one final note was that he booked our sunrise tickets for borobudur so we wouldn't have to wait in line in the morning, and also accompanied us to the gate aswell ???? p.s. lychee tree is in the front garden of the homestay

I extended our stay twice. Its a peaceful place and I rent a motorbike and used it to explore many other places like Mt Merapi, village trips. Staff were very nice and helpful. I found a hidden gem of Kopi Batu which provides traditional coffee from local beans. I have found some good surprises.

The location is amazing if you have a scoter or bikes...Fendi is super friendly....this cute villa with garden, garden patio and bugalow to chill allows you to see Bromo and explore by walk or bike the villages and rice fields. FENDI is very helpfull! He can cook breakfast for you or order for you other meals if needed....and really take care of your Brokmo visit ....cute n intimate place!

Absolutely incredible place. So serene and welcoming. Tucked away in the mountains and a little secluded, so get on a scooter and enjoy the peacefulness. Wonderful staff as well. Couldn't get any better!
