Been here few times with family. The service overall is better than Amankila in Bali. Nice room, clean, and well maintained. We also had private dinner with nice field views, breakfast by the river, and made our own pizza in the small bungalow. The fnb guy in the restaurant is nice, but he gave me black coffee instead of hot tea that I ordered. The foods are good overall.

The best part was the Borobudur view from our room and from the lobby. Really love the architecture and its ambience.

Unforgettable stay. This is a one of a kind property. The resort is situated with direct views of Borobudur Temple in the distance.

Staff was gracious and accommodating from arrival to departure. The general manager, Pandu, greeted us at check-in and and checked in on us the next day to see how we were enjoying our stay. Our only regret was not staying another night.

We loved our private pool suite. Nice to relax in our private space. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast by our pool every morning.

This is a place to relax and disconnect. No TV’s in the room. Lots of activities onsite or offsite to enjoy. We had massages, a private satay dinner, enjoyed the free lectures on Borobudur u0026 Prambanan, and the Batik print making class.

The resort opened in the late 1990’s. It is not brand new but very well maintained.

When the entire trip to Yogyakarta is a waste of time, there is at least the beautiful Amanjiwo to visit. I only came to eat lunch but this hotel is a diamond in the rough after being in the dirty and congested city of yogya. The food was decent. I had the beef curry and banana cake with ice cream for dessert. They were both extremely expensive for what I got in comparison to the rest of my indonesia trip but that's expected from a 5 star hotel. Be aware that there is a 550k min to spend just to eat here which wasn't difficult to hit. My bottle of water, hot tea, beef curry, and dessert cost me about 880k. That being said, I enjoyed having a meal that didn't immediately make me think I was going to suffer from food poisoning like every other meal I've eaten in yogya. There is a view of the infamous borobudur temple off in the distance which is about all you need to see of it since that was a waste of time (the reason I was in the area). After lunch the staff was fantastic and nice enough to show me a room in the event I wanted to spend 14mil on a room with a pool. The rooms were phenomenal and definitely luxurious. If I stayed here, I probably wouldn't bother leaving the hotel since there is no reason to go anywhere else in this city other than the airport to leave yogya. Overall, an absolutely beautiful place to stay but overpriced in every aspect for what you get when accounting for the fact that you're in Yogyakarta.

Definitely such an astounding resort! Clean and very well maintained! The service was also excellent. Although it is on the pricier side, but it was compensate with such an attentive service. The architecture of the resort is also magnificent! Make sure you use all the facility such as tennis court, biking, or morning yoga. This is definitely the resort to go to have some relax and quite time. We also joined the pottery class and the Borobudur lecture. The only downside is, the food serve in the resort is mediocre, but the butler is more than welcome to buy you all the authentic food in the area outside the resort. You can also request in room breakfast, they set it up very pretty on the patio of our room.

The interior of this resort is actually not my cup of tea. But due to my wife was having a very strong desire to stay here, since long ago, we made it happened instead.

I must admit that the materials they put for the room decor and construction is superb, and what makes it more special is how they maintain the whole resort, it is very well maintained.
Cleanliness inside the room is undeniable.

The service is also excellent. Most workers i saw are not young, but they will never hesitant to help you out.

They also have adequate selections for breakfast menus, regardless the taste.

All in all, this place is highly recommended for anyone who need to find serenity, and quiet place from city hecticness. If you wouldnt mind the price, of course ????

Sacret hide from civilization with amazingly harmonious with surroundings especially perfect match with UNESCO borobudur. Superb asset and top-quality service resort highly-recommmended.
