Really reccomanded! Ika has been kind guide and the strutture is absolutely lovelly and near to Borobudur temple :)

If you want to find a place with a true Indonesian family atmosphere, just come here and stay! Ika, his wife, and their son were very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever I had any questions. The place was very clean, tidy, and only 100 meters from Borobudur Temple. I would highly recommend this wonderful place!

Superb! Hosts are incredibly kind and arranged everything to make our stay as comfortable and interesting as possible. Location is quite just off the main steet, walking distance from Borobudur, plenty of restaurants, but there's more to discover as the hosts showed us. Rooms are great value: very clean, comfy, nice patio with garden view, silent airco, fine hot shower. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I stayed here to be within walking distance of the Borobudur temple, restaurants and the bus station. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast (included) was a delight. Although this place is quiet, I did hear the loud call to prayer from a nearby mosque; this was useful for me to be able to get to the temple before the heat and the crowds.

Level of hospitality is outstanding, if you stay there, you will be looked after. It is located pretty close to Borobudur temple and is easily reachable for the sunrise or the sunset tours. Rooms are basic but clean and pleasant. Would definitely recommend

Overall, for those who only read the first two sentences of the review:

If you are looking for a genuine Indonesian experience and not another touristy stay to visit Borobudur, EFATA HOMESTAY IS THE PLACE TO GO!

Personally, I would give 6 stars, if possible.

My girlfriend and me stayed at Efata Homestay for 3 nights to visit Candi Borobudur and the surrounding area.

Ika and his family opened their home and let us be part of an excellent local experience.

Ika was available at all times and not only provided useful tips on sights and places to visit, but also personally showed us around the town of Borobudur. He even drove us to Borobudur Temple at 4am and handled all administrative tasks (e.g. tickets etc.).

Every morning we woke up to a healthy breakfast with local specialties prepared by Ika‘s wife so that we could start the day off fresh.

Room and bathroom were in squeaky clean state, nothing was left to be asked for.

Overall, such an amazing experience!!!

Thank you so much for making our stay in Borobudur truly special!

We would give them more than 5 starts if we could! This summarises our experience in Efata Homestay.

The room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable... But the very best were the hosts! Ika and Yani went beyond what is expected, made us feel at home, gave us great tips and showed us that there is more to Borobudur than the temple! We will really recommend staying here!
