You need to walk about 2 km from the entrance. The view is amazing.
Ticket price is Rp7.000.
If you drive a car, you can park your car at the villagers' house and you need to pay and ask permission first but it's not expensive.

Our guide brought us here between Borobudur and Prambanan temples, and it was a nice visit to be able to see the impressive rice fields on the side of the mountain. Do not expect much from the temple, but the walk up from the village is amazing. There is an entrance fee of 25.000 IDR/person.

The road to up is winding and narrow and you have to continue walking from the end road up about 1.5 km. The view however is breathtaking. The temple itself was being reconstructed. Even than the view for me is far more important to see, not to mention friendly natives I met along the walk. I was struggling for the bathroom and one neighbor let me in just like that. Parking is very limited, if possible go with a local driver so you don’t have to worry about parking.

The view is super beautiful but the facilities are not in good conditions, the government and the local government with the people arrounds there are not paying attentions with the conditions of the area. Especially the bath rooms which are close to the temple

I tell you, honestly the journey to reach this place is superb.. the way through wide landscape of rice field on hill side will freshen up your mind and makes you wonder how great this world is.. :p
suggestion: rent a motorcycle or by ojek to reach up there.. because only by motorcyle or walking around 30min' to get there. .

i get there by riding motorcycle, it takes upto 15 minutes to reach the nearest parking lot to the top, and continue walking thru several stairs.

even though there's nothing much to see at the spot, but sometimes the best part of travelling is journey not destination.

And this journey, pictures of the scenery, i wouldn't ever forget, maybe this is the best track ever i ride by far...

I was amazed by the stunning sceneries along the way to this temple. So green and yet so tranquil. The road for motorbike and pedestrians are well made and maintained. I could not describe more how beautiful this area. And this tiny temple is worth it . On top of the hill ,just if we are lucky enough to enjoy when the sky is clear. Mount Sumbing is the view that we can not miss at all. Parking lot for motorbike is upstair just near to the stairs to the temple but for the car you need to park a little bit far and then you can either walk or take rental bike that costs 25.000 IDR for one way or 40.000 for returns. Toilet is available near by the second gate just before the temple. And it is clean enough. Perfect timing to visit is during dry season ( April to October) or morning when it is not cloudy. I am sure I will be back here to take more pictures.

Selogriyo is about 30 km. away from Borobudur, and journey by car or motorcycle takes about one hour (each way), over paved, winding country lanes.

Walking through the village, you can see the backbreaking work needed to grow the rice and harvest wood etc. Never take your food for granted. I couldn’t even imagine walking up and down those terraces to plant and harvest rice every day.
