A bit hidden from the streets, it was a search using Google maps. Saw that it had high ratings and wanted to go and try it out.
Once you enter the place, it has this nice and cozy feel that you have come at the family warungs. The scene where you are enjoying dinner is really nice; it’s a smal garden with tempel and a coy-pond. The tables ar set up nicely for couples with sufficient distance between them. There’s a lot of green around you and good indirect lighting.
The food was what you can expect at a warung, simple but nice. Spring rolls were great! I decided to try the fried duck (was on my list still). Although it was tasty, it was quite a lot of effort for a bit of meat so I guess I can cross it off and leave it at that. The seasoning for the rice was a bit to my coriander-y for me. So the food would only receive 3/5 stars for me. Although I might have tried the incorrect dish. Also, portions were not huge so don’t hesitate to order more! For dessert we had some rice pancakes with fresh coconut scrubs, which tasted fresh and was really good!
Also notable was that I ordered a Kombucha as a drink (for those who don’t know, it’s a fermented tea with probiotic properties stemming from Indonesia). It tasted like propped kombucha (should be soured) but also had the nice addition of various fruits, such as strawberry, lime and mango. I believe this drink was called ‘Pinky Red’. Worth a try!
Staff was friendly and although the food took around 30 min to arrive, they were always close in case you wanted to order something else. Expect to pay around 200k for 2 persons.
