Had a great time at this hotel. First the positives: Staff was fantastic and kind. Room with private pool was a real treat, especially considering the muggy weather. The place is amazingly clean. Location is in Central Ubud, but still quiet. Second, the things that could be improved: Calling four pieces of white bread toast a “Continental” breakfast is a bit misleading — but the Indonesian breakfasts were also kind of bland. Third, some weird stuff: The bathroom is actually outdoors, so if you need to visit in the middle of the night you are OUTSIDE. Same for the shower. There don’t appear to be view lines or anything. But it was kind of uncomfortable for me, others might not mind at all. Also the “kitchen” consists of a refrigerator, a sink, and a water boiler. Good to have, but not really a kitchen. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back, but thought others might like the information. Highly recommended

The villa Needs serious upgrading. Cupboards, table lamp were rusty. Very basic villa. Clean. A lot of bug due to outdoor shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast didn’t try.

Great location, friendly staff and excellent rooms and amenities. We loved staying at the Ladera Villa (especially the Indonesian breakfast which I enjoyed every day) and will definitely stay there again when next in Ubud.

I came here with my bf for a vacation. Right from the get go, the staff was friendly and hospitable. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with private pool; it felt very private since there were high walls around the garden and around the pool area. The pool was very nice, though would have been better to have lounge chairs. The bathroom took a bit of getting used to since it was 3-walled (open space led into the garden), but since there were only two of us it was not really an issue. There's a small kitchen that I found perfect for chilling in since it was shielded from too much sun or rain. The bedroom was roomy with a useful mosquito net around the bed, though it would have been nice to have more surfaces (e.g., table, chairs) to put our things on. Other than the villa itself, the food at the restaurant was tasty and the location was perfect, being a short walk away from the town centre and things to see/do.
