Weirdest spa experience I’ve had.
I contacted the contact number through this profile and booked a foot reflexology for 2 pax (for my dad and my husband) and a full body massage for me. She gave me a price for IDR 190k/1 hour of foot reflexology and massage per pax. It was rather pricey but looking at the good review I thought I’d gave it a shot. The cust service asked me whether I was sure because she needed to contact the therapists (apparently the therapists weren’t on standby). I said Ok and showed up 30 minutes later. (Mind you during this 30 minutes she asked me three times whether I would not cancel. Weird much?)
It was located inside a small road (so you need to walk a bit from the parking area). It was a small hotel with a very plain lobby. The lady asked me to pay beforehand and only in cash. This had me a little suspicious already but I thought I’d give it a shot since I was there already even though we’re still at the lobby and I havent seen the massage room. She made me an invoice, written manually on an invoice paper with no company logo whatsoever. I started to feel a little anxious since no one around there was wearing any uniform.
On the phone before, she said the therapists were all women, but when we were there, the therapists were 2 women and 1 man. Not that its a problem, but apparently we were all put in one massage room only, consists of 2 beds and 2 rigid chairs that were definitely not comfy for a reflexology. And were they planning to put me in the same room with a male therapist? I immediately asked for a foot reflexology too because no chance in hell I’d get naked in that place. The massage room was dirty and clearly hasnt been in use for so long. One person needs to be on the bed, and two on the chairs. This has become even weirder. I told my husband I wanted to go but he said just give it a shot since the therapists seemed so eager to give us a service.
Only 5 minutes in and the rain poured heavily and all of us in the massage room had rain poured on us too thanks to the broken roof ????????u200d♀️ (see photo of the roof). I was so close to walking out but one of the therapist suggested we moved into a hotel room. Seeing their best efforts I thought Ok.. and we waited for almost 15 minutes until they prepared a hotel room with 3 beanbags in it. And we got our foot reflexology there. The massage was fortunately very good.
Until… i saw that they used the same towel to clean my feet and my husband’s feet.
This was by far my most horrible massage experience I’ve had because the price and the facility definitely doesn’t add up. Totally unsanitary and I cant wait to just get out of there. I know the people there tried so hard to keep us there, probably the pandemic hit them hard and they struggled to have any customer at all. I pity them for that, but I can’t help but think I was being scammed.
I have mixed feelings writing this review too but I just need to let it out and warn people.
