We can recommend starting around 8:30am at “Tis cafe” going down to the rice terraces. Please leave a small donation, but it’s voluntary. Spend a whole day afterwards at the coffee place’s pool area because it’s a sweet deal: 200k per person which you can spend on great food and drinks and great coffee! And the view… breathtaking.
If you don’t want to use the pool the rest of the coffee place is for free and you just pay what you ordered. You can even use their Bali beds for free.
We have seen many rice terraces but this one we loved because it’s narrow well-maintained rice terraces. You can walk from terrace to terrace on small green paths.

Location have been over commercialized. Do note that this is due to circumstances, most of the natural paddy landscapes have been overlaid with swings and photo booths. Locals will ask for payment prior to entry.

Recommend to just opt for an eatery with a view which such suffice for the overall photo op, instead of paying for an entrance fee and photos per booth.

Defenitelly recomment getting loat in thos place.

Tegallalang offers plenty of different spots for pictures. It's full of different rice terraces. Give yourself time to explore this place as its much bigger than what you will expect.

Bring some cash as you will find locals selling drinks and food, which becomes super handy as the humidity and temperature will make you sweat like a pig.

A little touristy but nice if you've never seen a rice terrace before.

Classic Bali experience! It’s great to have rice fields you can walk around. The views are pretty good. There are characters working there of course, trying to skim a few thousand for photos and coconuts! ???? All good fun!

Yes it's extremely touristic. And yes it can be very annoying that there are a lot of fellow tourist walking around, posing and taking pictures. But that is only logical, because, my god, this is one of the most beautiful and picturesque scenery's I have ever seen (even with the swings and all the other touristic fuzz). So relax, stroll around and enjoy!

Beautiful, green, and the fact that aren’t many tourists now making it even better for photos. Just when the rice is ready and is slightly yellow compared to the green grass surrounding it is really pretty
