This was one of the tastiest things we’ve tried in Ubud! ???? I ordered both chicken satay and the ‘special’, as I usually need two dishes to get full - but both had plentiful chicken in there - way above what you usually get in Indonesian cuisine. No problem finishing it though as it was deliiiicious ???? The special is unlike anything I’ve tried before in Indonesia - coconut, ginger, sweetness and I don’t know what - yum! My girlfriend had the Soto soup and it was also the best soup we’ve tried. 5/5! Gotta try this place!

The „Wild Ginger“ saved our day!
After an 30 hours long journey, we finally arrived at Ubud: Tired, stressed and starving. Thank god, this Warung was still open at 9pm and we had the possibility to enjoy the excellent food. There are several vegan and vegetarian opportunities, which is great!
On top, the hosts were so friendly and courteous. We can highly recommend it and our visit today definitely won‘t be the last one during our stay in Ubud!

We booked the smoked duck the night before, as there was 4 of us, they served us with satay, fried prawns, chicken and pork sweet chilly and a green curry. Veggies and rice, wow it was good!! Had to eat everything, it was so good. Really full when we finished. $15 ahead including beer and wine. Will be going again soon.

Lovely setting and delicious chicken soup (tasty while feeling like you are eating something healthy) Great lassies as well. I will probably return to try their dessert. Attentive owners and good price.

Went to have dinner and really enjoyed it. The workers are very friendly and they have good recommendations on the menu. The food is delicious and homemade and they have de detail that ice cubes and vegetables are washed with mineral water for foreigners. Authentic indonesian food. Price is also good.

Amazing place! Seriously, give it a try. It might seem to be a little out of center of Ubud, but believe me - walk is totally worth it!

Take the Putu’s special. ❤️

One of the best food in Indonesia, definitely in Bali. ;)

Had a lovely experience at Putu's Wild Ginger. I highly recommend all the starred dished on their menu, especially the Tempe Goreng Kecap, Vegetable Soup and Special Tea. The ambience was so peaceful and quiet, and Putu and her family were very approachable and welcoming. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you won't be disappointed! Amazing local warung. :)
