Furthermore, the Ubud Painting Museum, is the oldest museum in Bali. This museum is more specialized in traditional and modern Balinese painting, as well as carving and wood carving.

If you like traditional Balinese painting and like the art of wood carving, then the Puri Painting museum is one that we can recommend to visit while on tour in Bali.

The artworks in this museum are placed in four different buildings in the museum complex. To be able to see all the art in this museum, you have to spend at least 2 hours. The collection of paintings starts from the Batuan painting style, Sanur painting style, Ubud painting style.

The museum is filled with Balinese woodwork and painting art. The art is curious, however the real highlight are the stories and myths they are based on - e.g. goliathian story how a fly lay larva into elephant's eyes that were pecked by a bird as a lesson that the weak may win over strong if they get together.
The territory is not large, but there are four large buildings to visit. Expect to spend an hour or two.
The entrance is 100k into which tea is included, however the restaurant was closed when we visited.

Not recommend. Only 4 rooms of paintings. 3 are dark and not suitable for appreciating the artworks. Most paintings are with monsters / religious idols, which will scare kids. 85k for ticket with a free drink.

Amazing, this museum have a very traditional, unique, and old balinese collection picture. The place also very instagramable. The view was wonderfull. I came here and this time Miss Grand International was visiting the museum too.

Open from 10am to 4pm, but it can be longer than that time. The services really good and helpful. It's a big place but tidy. You can get the discount price 50% and it only cost IDR 42.5k, grab it fast. There's a lot of pictures, painting and sculptures. Just enjoy your time at here, it's relaxing.

The ultimately beautiful place to know the history of Balinese Art, especially the emerging area of Ubud. It has collections based on time sequences, and the place is more like a palace-like complex.

The ticket seems pricey at first since actually I'm not a museum kind of person but turns out, this museum is quite good to spent your time when you dont know where else to go in Ubud (especially when its on raining season). Anw!! The ticket is not only to entry the museum, but you'll also got a drink and banana fried (pisang goreng which is good!!!) And some other snacks.
