This was the best food I had in Bali, and best Japanese restaurant outside of Japan that I’ve been to. Food is authentic, made with high quality ingredients and really delicious. It’s an outdoor setting so they provide natural mosquito repellant spray. Don’t be afraid of the geckos that you might see climbing on the walls. Price is very reasonable.

Chill restaurant with home made japanese food!

Overall the food were good, I and my friend ordered Curry Udon and Chicken Karage + Wakame Salad.

Their service was also nice.

Please note that in certain time, there might be mosquitos around but dont worry their also prepare anti mosquitos spray for you.

Couple of my friends recommended this restaurant. Place have limited seats, when I came there it was packed with Japanese. Taste wise, it was okay. It was not the best Japanese food I had. Nice thing about the resto is they have variety of food options and you can replace pork katsu with chicken katsu.

Love the vibe, very calm and serene. Great paired with the japanese dish. They make their own rice wine also very authentic japanese food! The calamari is a must try

I personally think Kagemusha is the most authentic Japanese restaurant I found in Bali. I always come here everytime I go to Ubud. I always try different menu here and it's always meeting or even exceeding my expectation. The service is good and the place is very comfy. Be careful with the mosquitoes and bugs since this restaurant is very close to nature.

I love this japanese restaurant. The taste feels like home made japanese food.
Have many varieties of snack and main dishes.
My favorites here are soba and oyakodon.

But be prepared on the mosquitoes!
