A really nice place in a good location. The dorms are rather large, and have lockers provided, free of charge. Breakfast is included, but seconds costs around 10000 IDR. Wifi is decent and included. The common area is nice and well furnished, and there are scooters for hire at reception. Staff are friendly and helpful and are keen to chat with everyone. Highly recommended! :)

I booked 1night in this hostel but extended to 2weeks and this is why.

Pros:
1. Amazing traditional family hotel with real good homely vibes
2. Very social and easy to meet other travelers and also hang out and get to know the staff
3.Free noodles and one time the family cooked us traditional Balinese food for free which was INCREDIBLE. You can't beat home cooking.
4. Unlimited tea, coffee and tea which is good especially in rainy season
5. Very clean hostel and the staff changed the beds every single day and changed the towel every couple of days.
6. If it was raining heavily outside the staff would take us on the bike for really cheap rates.
7.Hot showers! Most of the hostels I have been to only have cold showers so it was nice to have hot steamy showers
8. Free breakfast which is soooo yum!
9.LOCATIONNN is awesome! I got the bus from kuta to ubud ( I'd recommend for solo traveler, only 60,000 and there was only 2 of us on the bus) and it was legitimately a 3 minute walk from the bus stop to the hostel and its right in the middle of everything too but its nice and peaceful inside the actually hostel.
10. Tours- it's ready easy to book day tours through them and they will also give you competitive rate which is always good!

Con's:
1. I wish there was an activity night every night but you can't have it all haha
2. It Raines most days but thats obviously nothing to do with the hostel

Overall I would 100% recommend this hostel, it was my favorite hostel in my 3 months of travel because it was just so homely and just a great atmosphere. I can not wait to come again!! Thanks so much, miss you all already ❤

Me and my friend stayed at this hostel for 3 and a half weeks, and I have never felt more at home!
The owners and the staff invited us in to there family and there homes, took us to seramonies and even lent us money when we had none!
This is the best place I have ever stayed!
I love this place! And you should denfently chose this hostel if your ever are in bali!
Love Joker and all of the people there work there and stay there!

Great staff and clean room! Though hot shower wasn’t available during my stay, I ended up staying there for 4 nights, because the staff was awesome! Special thanks to Ita who’s always ready to help me with warm smile! I’d stay at Joker if I come back to Ubud.

Friendliest family hostel/homestay!! Very clean, they just recently opened. New everything - beds, sheets, towels. Free breakfast options with banana pancake or omelette w/ toast or scrambled eggs w/ toast. And access to the kitchen with refillable water, coffee, tea all day. They also book tours there. They have another homestay next door if you're looking for a private room. The place is a 5 minute walk to Yoga Barn and next to a variety of top Ubud restaurants like Taco Casa and Mamma Mia. Will def come back if I'm in Ubud again. Thank you Joker and fam for all the hospitality!!

Great location tucked away off the Main Street in Ubud. Very relaxed with a wonderful staff - willing to help you out with anything you need. Very comfy and private beds with strong ac. Great breakfast too - will definitely stay here next time I’m in Ubud.

Best hostel in Bali. Everyone here is like family. Strong AC, free good breakfast (choice of Indonesian or Pancake/Eggs), strong wifi (very important), free coffee and tea, clean sheets and towels free. Near Perama bus station so easy to walk.
