We had an incredible stay at the Backpackers Home in Ubud. The staff is superb and you get amazing breakfast in the morning (for free). We booked a tour over the hostel and the guide Butu was amazing! He also gave us so many ideas what to see and local spots to visit. If you want to dive into the balinese culture and get to know the people we def recommend you staying here. The rooms and facilities were also very well looked after! would be a 11/10 ;)

So friendly staff! Unlike some other hostels and their staff, who's only creating a bond to the travellers who stay there longer, this hostel had such nice staff because they were smiling all the time and were genuinely interested in hearing if you had a good day, trip or time! So comfortable! The cosy jam sessions at night was a great plus!
Would definitely stay here again!

What a great hostel! Came for 4 days, stayed for a week. Great staff, great breakfast, very good atmosphere and great rooms with AC. A pleasure for every backpacker. Wifi works good only in the common living room, but thats not a problem. Also the guys will play music every night with guitars and sing, very very nice place to stay.

Staff are very friendly and helpful with things to do and you can rent a scooter for $6.00AUD per day. Bed were clean but the bathroom was gross. It smelled like paint and mold and the shower had very little water pressure. Overall good stay besides that.

I booked 1night in this hostel but extended to 2weeks and this is why.

Pros:
1. Amazing traditional family hotel with real good homely vibes
2. Very social and easy to meet other travelers and also hang out and get to know the staff
3.Free noodles and one time the family cooked us traditional Balinese food for free which was INCREDIBLE. You can't beat home cooking.
4. Unlimited tea, coffee and tea which is good especially in rainy season
5. Very clean hostel and the staff changed the beds every single day and changed the towel every couple of days.
6. If it was raining heavily outside the staff would take us on the bike for really cheap rates.
7.Hot showers! Most of the hostels I have been to only have cold showers so it was nice to have hot steamy showers
8. Free breakfast which is soooo yum!
9.LOCATIONNN is awesome! I got the bus from kuta to ubud ( I'd recommend for solo traveler, only 60,000 and there was only 2 of us on the bus) and it was legitimately a 3 minute walk from the bus stop to the hostel and its right in the middle of everything too but its nice and peaceful inside the actually hostel.
10. Tours- it's ready easy to book day tours through them and they will also give you competitive rate which is always good!

Con's:
1. I wish there was an activity night every night but you can't have it all haha
2. It Raines most days but thats obviously nothing to do with the hostel

Overall I would 100% recommend this hostel, it was my favorite hostel in my 3 months of travel because it was just so homely and just a great atmosphere. I can not wait to come again!! Thanks so much, miss you all already ❤

Me and my friend stayed at this hostel for 3 and a half weeks, and I have never felt more at home!
The owners and the staff invited us in to there family and there homes, took us to seramonies and even lent us money when we had none!
This is the best place I have ever stayed!
I love this place! And you should denfently chose this hostel if your ever are in bali!
Love Joker and all of the people there work there and stay there!

Highly recommend staying here. Clean, AC, free coffee/tea, community kitchen, near loads of good restaurants and minimarts.
