Chapung sebali is a good quality hotel, i stayed here with my wife and 2 kids, we stayed at 1 bedroom villa with swimming pool for 3 nites.
Reception
warm welcome with welcoming drink, full of information regarding the hotel and they all so friendly and helpfull.
Location of hotel,
this hotel pretty far from crowded so if you looking for ubud activity it's bit far from here to ubud raya street (most of the outdoor activity, shop and food) but good things I'm looking for quiet green and peace area, this is super good for me. Love the location even it's far.
Hotel surronding,
by the time i got here, they just harvest the paddy rice field, so not so greeny but it's still nice and tidy place to walk around. Best view the pool area and below deck of the pool area, we took a lot of pictures there in the morning where the sun comes up.
The Villa room
this is a big villa with great view in the morning, seeing sunrise and really beautiful, it's directly to my room and i can see the sun slowly comes up. by the way my room number #7 and it's facing east, i don't know other rooms.
Villa Pool is quiet deep too i thinks it's around 1.5m to 2m ( I think) quiet deep for kids but it's a good pool, they offer a floating breakfast at the pool too.
The bedroom, it's nice cozy and soft bed which i like it and they have menu pillow that a bit rare for hotel but it's interesting, they offer Goose, silk and latex pilow which have different material and firmness. The bed come with insect screening.
the bathroom / shower area,
Minus things about shower area, first the towel, the hotel have 2 kinds of towels brown towel which for pool area and green towel in the shower area, i don't like the green one becuase it's not absorb enough water after finishing taking shower, and i wipe the washtafel table it's not absorb the water at all. Better use the brown towel, better the hotel review about this towel issues.
Second the towel hanger it's a bit cross the shower area like 2m walk cross the dry area.
Myself like the bathroom clean and dry, but after we take shower (whole family) the bathroom bit wet at that area because they back n foward getting towel from the hanger. If possible to add a small hanger at the corner of the shower entrance edge on the left to hang towel and some clothes.
Walking closet, it's a big walking closet and i can fit 2 big suitcases and 3 small suitcases and still plenty of space.
the kitchen and guest area at my really big space and for family it's a good place to chill and relax and enjoying the day. I spent most of my time at this area.
My suggestion the curtain window need maintenance, some curtains it's hard to pull up and some of it the plastic rope it's break up, the one that through the pool door at the bathup area it's broken and i can not find the rope.
The spa area, it's relaxing and quiet with sound of river water running, it's a good spa, we had swedish massages for 90 minutes, the staff super friendly and willing to inform about the firm and our enjoyment of the spa. They gave some fruits and tea after we done.
The breakfast,
First day we are so exited to try the breakfsat but after second and third day , bit boring becuase the choices not too many, especially if you are indonesian the food not suit us well enough. But I like the burito, the porridge not so good.
the dessert I only like 1 the bread bananas with caramel (forgot the name)
I think that a bit dissapointed second day they're out the pork bacon, we only had the last 6 peaces, next day mie goreng was finish and it take a long time to make it.
my suggestion, the hotel can add a bit simple indonesian menu like soto ayam. They have plenty of bread, if you a bread lover, you survive the breakfast. All the staff are friendly, the place it's clean with amazing view.
overall this is a great hotel in Ubud, looking for a good nice quiet place and stay for relax enjoying the hotel, this is the rite place. I will come back again later.
thanks for the service Chapung Sebali.
