I am sad to see this museum building. It is very poorly maintained. It should be well cared for and developed in collaboration with the government owned telecommunication companies in Indonesia. Especially now the era of telecommunications and information technology. It is very unsightly, especially the location is in front part of TMII.

Super creepy, very abandoned. I think TMII should find sponsors to help them in maintenance. Telkomsel/Indosat/XL should be able to support with their CSR budget to help out rebuild and maintain this museum. Such a waste of asset.

Museum telekomunikasi or telecommunications museum, which is part of the Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park, is a place to describe telecommunication development from historical perspective. It is located side by side with Sports Museum and Al-Quran Bayt, near the main door. The feature of the building has a blue dome roof and in front of the main building there is the Maha Patih Gajah Mada Oath of Palapa monument that stands tall while brandishing a keris. This illustrates the soul of the Oath of Palapa which unites the archipelago which was implemented in the first Indonesian satellite form, named the Palapa satellite. Some of the collections are in the form of telecommunications equipment from time to time and everything about its development in Indonesia, including pre-electric telecommunications equipment in the form of inflatable communication equipment, gangs or gendering, drum, gong, and bells, while electrical devices in the form of Morse telegraphs, telephone centers, local battery manuals and radio transmitter diorama YBJ-6 struggle. Current communication tools are divided into two types, namely analog and digital. Analog types include telprinter / telex aircraft, automatic analog telephone centers, national telecommunications network models and SKGM models and hambur tropos. For digital types including conventional STKB configuration planets and STKB Cellular, PT. CORE, STDI-K panel, small earth station panel, satellite launch, GSO model (Geo Orbit Statistics) SKI configuration panel, Intelsat / Inmarsat panel, and Pasopati (Information Technology Service Solution Alloy) or ISDN (Integrated System Digital Network). In addition to some of the collections in the museum, there are dioramas that present models of multimedia utilization including Solution for Enterprise Network, Elektronik Mega Mall (EMM) and Iridium Satellite System. This museum describe the development of communication technology is very fast. It is important to and makes people around the world able to connect with everyone and everywhere, not limited to space and time. An interesting site to visit. Hope the government pay more attention in maintaining this museum too.
