One of the reliable shopping complex to find Batik and muslim wear in central Jakarta. Located in between of Tanah Abang and Grand Indonesia shopping complex. Parking available above ground levels and connected to shops. Prices are a little bit higher than similar shopping place for batik and muslim wear but you also get a better quality and variations. Weekends are still the busiest time. Some of the shops closed permanently the last 2 years, similar like other shopping complexes.

This is a great place to shop. The location is strategic (near Grand Indonesia Mall, etc.), the products are various: batik, Muslim clothing (hijab/jilbab, abaya, thawb, veil, headscarf, etc.), weaving products, hajj u0026 umrah equipment, there are food u0026 beverages outlets and big tenants, such as Hypermart. The products are good, but the prices are OK and not expensive.

The PPKM rule were applied here before entering. But, when people were let in, they didn't keep appropriate distancing and wore their masks. Also, the place was still a bit crowded. Unfortunately, the parking area is not clean. The toilet is also a bit dirty.

Thamrin city is a bazar in a mall. With 5 levels there are all kinds of goods available, especially if you like Islamic clothing, men’s and women’s. Of particular note is the selection of Batik, Indonesian print in men’s and women’s from mass produced rayon to hand printed cotton at a range of prices.

Do prepare to spend a few hours here and remember to get the name and coordinates of a store where you liked the goods, otherwise good luck finding it later!

There are a few affordable restaurants and coffee shops when your feet get tired and you need a break from browsing.

A note for non-locals used to cooler climes, the air conditioning is barely noticeable it’s easily 26-27 degrees inside so be ready with water and wear appropriate clothing for a hot time.

Huge massive shopping center full of individual shops with batik, adults and children's clothes. Lots of accessory stores, shoes, Muslim clothing and housewares too. There are eateries around as well, coffee shops and cafes. Plan a whole day or split your shopping into multiple days to make the most of your visit. Lots of shop staff speak multiple languages too, which was very helpful. Bring cash and be ready to bargain prices.

For a clothing mall stores, Thamrin city provides a wide choice of clothes from variety of styles. Most of the stall here are relatively cheap and reasonable. And the space between stall is wide enough for more than two people unlike some other similar mall in Jakarta. Although some of the facilities seems not taken care enough and they got a serious number of closed stall on that mall.

Overall great shopping experience, reasonable price, and full of clothes choices

Good place for shopping before you leave Jakarta. You can buy monuments, electronics and garments at reasonable prices. There are many shops to buy from. You will get lost, as one of ours did, if you do not keep track of where you are, especially when you are a foreigner.

Thamrin City in pandemic era...several stores are close due to high cost and no income. It still have a lot of stores selling products with lower prices and we can see many empty corners. Parking was easy to find, probably lack of visitors due to pandemic. Hope sellers can cope with the situation and speedy recovery.
