The museum is very underrated because the place is quite hidden in the middle of the settlement. For easy reference, at the highway you turn left after Kenari Market.

In this museum you can learn the story of MH Thamrin and Jakarta, and another of the local Heroes of Betawi (Jakarta). Also, they have collections of traditional musical instruments from Betawi. And the place is really clean and air-conditioned.

Entrance fee is cheap and they give you free CD's about MH Thamrin. Outside the museum there is a large garden to chill in the afternoon, so it would be cozy for the visitors. Hope more visitors will come.

The MH. Thamrin Building Museum has a large collection of photos ranging from his struggles to several photos of the atmosphere of the old city of Jakata. There is also a collection of radios which were previously used by MH. Thamrin, then decorative plates, blangkon, tables, chairs. In addition, there is also a library which has a collection of books about MH. Thamrin and some of his talks in the Volksraad. This museum is very underatted because the place is quite hidden behind the crowded Kenari market. You can get free Jakarta Maps if you visit here. That maps souvenir is very useful to guide you explore Jakarta.

It's hidden gem in Central Jakarta. Located in behind Kenari Market. Road is accessible for car and motorcycle. Not really easy to find because no sign but we can find easily by Google maps or ask surrounding. It's just small museum in quite big area until half becomes RPTKA. It's not about MH THAMRIN as one of local hero but also the land given by his family. We can have chilling outside. Parking is so big enough. Museum is included in group Museum Kesejarahan Jakarta so schedule for closed and opened same schedule with other museums in same group such us Museum Joang 45 and Museum Prasasti. Entrance fee is cheap but I don't know why, at that time I went there, I didn't get receipt for ticket I bought but just next destination is Museum Joang 45, then I realized that may be they (Museum MH Thamrin's staff) charge two times based on left credit on card. The staffs are nice but let us be go around ourselves, it was so empty, so quiet and hot because no AC. It's just some things need to improve.

The location is a little bit hidden (in the middle of settlements) but it has a great and important story along the way to the independence of Indonesia from the story of well known national Indonesian hero and one of Soekarno's bestfriend, Muhammad Husni Thamrin. You can learn the story of MH Thamrin and also learn about Betawi (Jakartan well known tribe, also being the identity of MH Thamrin). The place is really clean and air conditioned, so it would be cozy for the visitors. The access to this place is maybe a little bit hard because the road is narrow.

The Museum of MH Thamrin is located near UI Salemba. This was not the house of Mr. Thamrin, but the building was bought by him and was used as a meeting hall. The building was once called "Gedung Permufakatan". Though it's small, the building kept many histories inside.

The museum shows models of old radios, furnitures, bicycle, and horse-drawn-carriage that was owned by MH Thamrin. It also shows some dioramas about the building's usage. This museum is one of the important museums in Jakarta, but sadly, it doesn't have much visitors as it is located in a small alley.

The ticket is very cheap; you also get a CD about the museum per tickets. The keepers are very nice and the museum is also very clean.
