Located inside the Senayan Golf Club area, Acta Brasserie serves gourmet dishes and a large selection of drinks. The ambience is serene and vintage, and the restaurant is a part of Biko group.
The dishes I had are the truffle fettuccini, escargot and almond butter barramundi. They served the escargot in between choux buns, 6 deshelled escargots in total. They taste truffley and to eat it you need to dig down the mashed potato underneath. The almond butter barramundi’s unique point is the pourable brown butter sauce with sliced almonds. The sauce compliments well with the fish. The tomatoes also help balancing the acidity of the dish. Moving on to truffle mushroom fettuccini, this one is my favorite. It’s a little bit soupy, not dry as one would expect. The taste is beef-brothy, and the portion is large although it does not look much. Although I did not taste the truffle as much, it is on more on the sweet and creamy notes which is to my liking.
For the drinks I had the black forest moccachino and lychee little shanghai. The moccachino does taste like black forest. It has strawberry coulis on the bottom of the glass, and cream on top. This main drink consist of fresh milk and double shots of espresso, but you can request oatly to sub the milk. The little shanghai drink is a mocktail. Very refreshing, sparkling with a surprise of popping bobba.
The staffs are really friendly. When asked for help they would also attend with a very polite gesture.
The restroom is nice and clean, and they use Sensatia hand soap which fragrance reminds me of Bali.
