We’ve been to Sagoo Kitchen many times. They offer various kind of foods, from Javanese to Chinese Peranakan to steaks. And most of them taste great, even their fried rice is tasteful. The cool thing is that they always add more into their menus, so I guess you’ll never get bored with this restaurant.

But unfortunately, I found their service is not consistent. Some of the waiters/waitress are not warming and kind, and hardly ever smile.

This place serve Indonesian food with old things design interior. Fit for group or family meeting. Instragamable, and near by shopping center, because the location bundling with Botani Square mall that it has large parking area. But for better services, it will be good, if the room is larger than existing.

The fact that Sagoo Kitchen located inside Botani Square is strategic. However, it makes the restaurant to lose a bit its classic style. The food is average and a bit expensive for a traditional one. But it is logic when a restaurant is inside a mall. For nostalgic travelers, this restaurant is recommended.

Place: 4 of 5 (clasic authentic)
Taste: 4,5 of 5 ( I try chicken rice with sambal matah and "kecombrang" spice, also bakmie jawa, teh tubruk for drink)
Price: +200K for 4

- Kinda warm, not a good match with many hot and spicy menus
- Waiting for ages until the foods served
