The food tasted quite delicious. I ordered soto betawi with tempe mendoan for side dish. The tempe mendoan was very good and I recommend that. Soto betawi tastes a bit sweet and I think kids might enjoy it too. Unfortunately, the cashier was not friendly at all which kind of retracted us from enjoying the dinner.

A betawi style resto where the food, ambience and staff are presenting the old style life of Betawi people and culture. Small but enough to give you the basic taste of their culinary art.

Delicious, but missing one special menu

Last Saturday I decided to have dinner with my family in a restaurant called Kafe Betawi, but its actually not a café it’s a family restaurant. As you can see the word Betawi so the restaurant has many menus from the Betawi area.

We arrived at 8 pm after isya prayer, then we choose the comfortable table. I ordered Nasi Goreng Kambing (it's not Betawi food), and my parents ordered Soto and laksa. But when we asked the waitress about Bir Pletok he said that Bir Pletok is not available in this restaurant. So, my parent is a little bit disappointed to hear that.

The ordered comes really fast, I don't know if they cook this food carefully or not. But the taste it's good, so I don’t really mind with the fast order. The price of the food is under 200 I guess (I forgot) so it's not very expensive (for us).

Overall the restaurant is good, and you can visit this restaurant in Bogor. But, I give this restaurant a suggestion to add more Betawi food and drink, so we can choose more.

First time visit. Lots of yummy food like soto, satay. But since i am on vegetarian diet i ordered gado2 (Indonesian veggie salad with peanut sauce) and tempe mendoan (thin sliced tempe ligthly fried). Both were good for mall food. Clean place. Friendly staff. Recommended.
