Do you want to get Javanese eating experience in Bogor, West Java area? Then, Resto Solo could be a good choice where we could eat variant of Javanese dishes in a traditional Javanese ambiance. The restaurant exterior and interior are so unique with the wooden material just like in a traditional Javanese house. Even the polite woman who served us wore Javanese outfit and greeted us in Javanese language. Resto Solo provides both indoor and outdoor seating, also parking space in the restaurant area. One of the unique thing here is they provide a lot of novel and comic that we could read here. Even some legendary comics are available here.
For the menu, they have Nasi Gudeg, Nasi Liwet, Nasi Ayam Goreng, Nasi Ayam Penyet, Nasi Garang Asem, Selat Solo, Lontong Sayur, Gado-Gado, Pecel, and many more. I tried Nasi Gudeg Komplit (IDR 37,000), the complete package of white rice with boneless chicken, gudeg (young jackfruit stew), krecek (cow skin stew), tempe bacem (soybean cake), tahu bacem (bean curd), along with the chili. The taste is mild and not that savory. The chili is also not that spicy. As the sweet treat, they also provide the freshly made Serabi at the outdoor part of the restaurant.
