It was only a few hours of stay in this hotel. Rooms are not comfortable. Mattresses are uncomfortable, there were ants everywhere. On the floor, in the bed, and also on our luggages. Only one bottle of water ( for coffee, tea, and also for brushing pur teeth) the service was poor. Very slow. The food was unremarkable. The place had potential though

We stayed two nights

Pro: the owner did a very good job in decorating the commun areas, which looks like a personal art gallery. The localization is truly amazing: in the middle of the jungle and rice paddys. The prayers of the imam echoing through the mountains and jungle adds some sort of mystical magic to the hotel.

Con: room and service are not to the level of the commun areas, and do not reflect the price paid. The room had huge black humidity stains on the wall (the staff even admitted that there was a hole in the ceiling), the bed sheets were not perfectly cleaned (yellow stains, holes). The service is poor: no English speaking personal which are not to the standard you would expect for the price paid. Communication is hard. They even charged 100k rupia for a 2 min car drive without telling us. On top of that, the food was un-eatable (mie goreng with italian egg pasta….)

The place clearly has potential for visitors looking for a retreat in the jungle, but serious upgrades and investments are required.

Nice hotel in beautiful area with stunning views. Our room seemed to not being used for some time - it smelled moisture. Also no wifi in rooms 1xx.

Nice place with nice views to Kawah Ijen. Attached to the resort there is Taman Gandrung Terakota, very interesting with a caffee and a satai restaurant. Staff was so helpful at all times.

the location near ijen mountain, surrounded by nature make this hotel have exclusive feeling, the architecture have traditional touch in it, the staff is friendly and helpful

The room was so nice ...
but because surrounding with the nature...so in the room theres a mosquitos n bugs too....
the cleaness it just not like what i expected...i think need upgrade for the cleaness...
the pillow inside have a many yellow spot (like an old spot)what i said is a pillow inside...not a pillow sheet...
the water drinking that hotel usually provided is a seal bottle..but in here is a refill..so u can ask by call with the refill when finish
The weather i thought was so cool..but it is not
My room deluxe was without air conditioning....
With that weather that what i can say it was warm..i have to upgraded my room that provided with air conditioning
When comes the night its just a lil spooky????????
The hotel staff named PAK.IMAM (r pak iman???? i just forget)so patiently help us with the room.....n answered all ours questioned.....
The staff was ????????????
I think just need upgrade the cleaness
That all basic on my viewes????????

This is a hotel surrounded by nature. Located near Ijen crater, it offers serenity and tranquility of Javanese environment. The cool air whole day long makes it perfect place to get away from the city. It also a perfect hub to reach Ijen highland, where you can make overnight stop before climbing to infamous crater.

Unfortunately because it located at the remote location, it's very difficult to obtain foods from outside the hotel. Make sure you get all your needs from the city before checking in to the hotel.
