We ended up staying here for 4 nights and loved it, everyone is super friendly and helpful. The room is a basic double bed with either fan or aircon available with a yummy breakfast included. We also did the turtle tour from here which was amazing, the owner tells you information about everything and stops of at loads of different little places a long the way.

Absolutely enjoyed every moment! Fendi made the experience for us-what a great guy! This guy works like crazy, he picked us up from the train station in the middle of the night for a reasonable price, he arranged and took us to ijen for 300k each and provided us with all the equipment we would need and was very honest that we wouldn’t need to pay extra for a guide.

He took us to the turtle conservation park (IDR 1,500,000 each) and his knowledge was incredible. Part of the trip included visiting local factories and seeing how they made brown sugar, rubber, coconut oil and coffee. It was so interesting and completely different to the tours where you are taken somewhere just to purchase something. This was a real experience with locals working extremely hard. Fendi was the perfect guide and host, he would constantly check that everything was okay for you and make sure you were happy. Although we were unlucky and didn’t see the turtle come onto the beach to lay her eggs, the fact that we got to release baby turtles made up for this. His homestay is lovely as are his family, I honestly have nothing but good words to say, he even took us to the bus stop and waited over an hour with us to make sure we would get on the right one when we left.

The staff is so good, Fendy is the best guy ever u0026 will help you with everything! The room was really clean u0026 breakfast was very good, Some fresh sandwich u0026 fruit! 100% recommended

This homestay was the worst. The only nice thing the host did was pick us up from the train station. Not super good communication even there. There were bed bugs, cock roaches, and rats. On top of this, the host knowingly provided is us incorrect information on travel to Bali, so he could get more money out of us. He told us it would be 125K to get to Denpasar bus. And that it would be a plane bus. But when he took us up the bus stop. We hopped in a very small bus. After he loaded us in, he took the bus driver behind the bus to pay him, obviously not the full 125K that he charged us. (Later we found out a large bus from the ferry would have only been 40K) so he way overcharged us and pocketed the money. He told the driver t o drop us off at some random point, not where the bus stop was, when we asked to just go to the Denpasar bus stop like everyone else on that bus was going, the bus driver said we had to pay 50K more! At this point I was so frustrated, we just got out of the uncomfortable bus and ordered a taxi. The worst thing was he stole our piece of mind. You want to be able to trust your host.

You get what you pay for. Very dingy rooms, no real air con despite claims to the contrary. Owner does good environmental protection work though.
