"Embarrassing by Accor Hotels"
What we liked:
We received twin beds, and they were comfortable. The pillows were lovely. The hotel is connected to a great mall (Trans Studio Mall with every convenience we would ever need. Food and drinks are always nearby.
What we didn't like:
My mother and I stayed during Ramadhan season, and there was barely any staff during such a busy time. Thankfully, we arrived five days before it began. As I predicted, everything was a whole mess when the hotel became packed. There are only two elevators available for the side of the building we accommodate, and one of them kept breaking. It felt very unsafe.
Our bedsheets were stained from time to time, the housekeeping service didn't always clean the bathroom properly, and we had to call them to deliver toiletries. Most of the time, it took forever to arrive.
The breakfast was astonishingly terrible and was not worth the price of 80k++ per person. The variety and quality were horrifying. For some reason, they placed the fresh milk in the most inconsistent place. A high area in the refrigerator that is primarily inaccessible for most Indonesians, considering their height is below average. The "fresh fruit" was not fresh. I consistently found the chef relaxing at the restaurant area, playing with his handphone. Thankfully, food and drinks accessibility outside of the hotel was right next door.
The situation at the hotel became a complete disaster when it became packed. They had no bellboys, and either the minuscule receptionists or security had to help with luggage. We had to grab a luggage trolley on our own and bring our stuff downstairs, with only one elevator working on that side of the building. It was a terrible experience. If we didn't have to pay that much for the stay and knew that we had to arrange our luggage ourselves, this wouldn't be a part of the complaint.
The chefs in the kitchen could not cook a traditional Indonesian dish, Nasi Goreng. It was bland, clumpy and tasted horrible. Shocking for a hotel and especially for the food price! They dared to promote barbeque events when they couldn't cook Indonesian Fried Rice.
