This is one of my favorite food when I visit Bandung. We can choose between siomay or baso tahu goreng which is served with peanut sauce (a bit spicy).

I love it!. I'm not a Bandung citizen but I really love Batagor. This place serves one of the best Batagor I ever tried. The place is not comfy though, but it's all paid off because the taste is amazing. Defenitely want to comeback for sure!. I recommend to order 'Campur'. It's a mix of Batagor and Siomay.

The BATAGOR is an abbrevation of
BAso (fishbatter), TAhu (tofu), GOReng (fried). Not sure what is the correct word to translate in English, probably Fried Fish batter with Tofu.

Here in Batagor Abuy; The tofu part is super soft. The fish batter is tasty. Both are combined with special sambal (mix chilli and peanut pasta) and also kecap manis (sweet soya sauce). The taste is super.

Should eat while the batagors are in warm condition. No wonder, Batagor Abuy open everyday start from 1530 local time till 2200.

I went here yesterday and ordered several things such as otak-otak, kembang tahu, and martabak. It was a rainy Sunday evening so the atmosphere feels like emphasizing the taste of each food. Otak-otak was great! Not too dry and not too wet. It's bite-size and one tray is enough for 2-3 people. Then comes the kembang tahu. The tofu itself is soft and easy to eat, the soup is sweet and spicy but a little too sweet for me. After that, martabak comes. This may be my favourite of all food i ordered. It's has quite big cut for each one but the crunchy part of the martabak just great!! It's still has juicy part inside while the crust outside is crispy and crunchy. Overall i really like the combination of the things that i ordered here. The place is simple, quite old actually. But somehow it gives you a simple warmth that you need, especially for your tummy.
