The Bali Memorial was built to Honor those that died in the Bali Bombing of October 12 2002.
It is hard to.imagine the carnage that took place.
When you see the development that has taken place since that time it is almost as if it never happened.
It's something I will never forget, I was there.

A quite famous meeting point around Kuta-Legian area. This monument can be easily spotted from the street. People seem never get bored to come to this monument. It’s also a reminder that a tragedy happened once in this beautiful island...

The first bomb terror monument in Bali. This place is really clean and it's free! They added some colorful street lamps that I think that is unnecessary. This place really important to us, Balinese, because the first bomb terror can almost destroy this country. You also can find some mini-markets, cafes, restaurants, and pubs here. One of the most popular pub in Bali, Sky Garden, located about 100m from this monument.

The place is well designed and maintained. There is a water fountain and dancing lights which makes it more appealing in the evenings/nights when people and mostly tourists come for photos.
