MONEY EXCHANGE SCAM!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
We tried to change money here, and the shady guy with the long hair and tattoos, who looks like a drug dealer, counted it in front of my eyes. Then he asked, if we want to change more, and changed my friends money, before giving me my full amount.
Through this, he managed to confuse us, probably did some pocket tricks, when we were distracted and we ended up with 1/3 of my friends money missing (about 500k, a lot for us!).
We came back a few minutes later, after realizing. The staff in front, just told us "we're sorry, that's another company"...yeah sure...
We confronted the guy, and he IMMEDIATELY gave us our original money back, shouting "go change somewhere else!", because he realized, we saw through his scam! That means, they seem to actually fear the police! So in case you get tricked here, and they don't want to give your money back, tell them you're going to call the police, and do so, if they still don't give in! Best thing to do for tourists, would be to not support this shady place at all!
BE AWARE, that most other "authorized money exchanges ", are scams as well! Only change, were there are solid glass counters, and personnel who check your ID and give you a receipt.
You can recognize the scam exchanges, by "too good" exchange rates and by not being an exchange only. So don't use the ones in bars and clubs etc...
Good luck!
