The food might look good in the pictures (and a couple of dishes were) but overall this meal was an expensive disappointment.

We got the Grand Indonesian Rijstaffel for 245,000 IDR plus tax plus service per head. So for the three of us it was around 775,000 (about £40) without drinks.

The drinks are not cheap either; 75,000++ for a large bintang (almost £5 or double of what most bars are charging in the town itself).

The restaurant is quite nice looking. It's an adjunct of the Kana hotel (see my review of that elsewhere) but for the standard of the food and the gross overpricing, I could not recommend this restaurant.

Looks like it has been recently renovated, beautiful garden and lots of offers on. Great for chill dinner or to cool off on a sunny day to put your toes in the little pool outside lounge area

We went here for my wife's birthday and it didn't disappoint. We had an amazing experience with fairly priced food, nice setup and good music.
Definitely, will come back to try more if time permits.

Awesome food, music, seating arrangement and location . Being a vegetarian, we found this restaurant far above others in terms of menu and taste. They have so much to offer for every visitor. Drinks are a must try in this restaurant.

Unfortunately Grand Indonesian Rijstaffel was disappointing and mostly the same taste in every small plate. Dancing show made our dinner more entertaining, yet it was quite simple. I suppose restaurant is okay option if you are tired and don't want to go far from hotel in the evening.

Kana Kuta has so much to offer other than their amazing breakfast spread. One of them being Star Anise restaurant located right along side the hotel. The restaurant offered all kinds of delicious Indonesian food all under one roof. Being a vegetarian I was actually a bit nervous but they were kind enough to follow my preferences and I was completely blown away by their spread. A must try whether or not you stay at the hotel.

Fabulous place with amazing food.. had a great dinner last night. It was nice to enjoy food around the mini pool
we tried
- Thai seafood soup... spicy and yummy
- penne carbonara
- Nasi Goreng
highly recommended!!
