Amazingly friendly and beautifully kind owners. Nothing is too much trouble. Edward stayed here and had the best time. No doubt he will come back. Margarita is the best hostel in Bali ???? Highly recommend staying here. You will have the time of your life.

The hostel is a bit older and a bit run down because of Corona. The pictures on the internet are not necessarily true. The location is okay and quiet. It's easy to get around on a scooter. But it's not a surf hostel.

All rooms downstairs facing the pool have mould. Some more, some less. The rooms are generally very damp.
We didn't use the pool.

The good thing that made it less bad was the man from the bar with his three dogs. He also does the check in and out. He is very friendly, warm and funny. It's worth it just for him.

great place! easy to hang out and meet people. pool is clean. food is tasty. the staff is genuinely very very friendly. there are bike rentals and it’s a short ride to the main roads. extended our stay a few more nights.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Yudi and Krishna are so sweet and helped me a lot with my bike and even let me extend the rental when I was in far away. You’ll meet great people at the hostel and the quality is okay for the price.

Not a surf hostel, location is a bit inconvenient. Had no running water for a full day u0026 night during our stay so no flushing toilet in dorm, no shower etc., lights didn’t work in the room so very dark after sunset, 24 hour bar and restaurant is very nice touch however my friend ordered a cheeseburger in it and got no meat patty (only cheese and salad) which I found disappointing. Dorm room needs more regular cleaning as there is dust everywhere and I believe my friend and I were bitten while we slept. Wifi was very patchy also. We also booked to be in an 8 bed all female dorm and first got put into a 14 bed (I think) mixed dorm in a shed, and after asking to be moved put into a 10 bed mixed, this wasn’t a big deal for us however if I was a nervous solo female traveller it wouldn’t have been ideal. Staff are lovely so I was upset with the room as I would have liked to leave a good review, however the actual accommodation did not align with the reviews we saw and we were quite disappointed.

This hostel has won by far and large the title of worst hostel I've stayed in Bali so far. The surf hostel thing is def. a sham I've fallen over. I ended up a terrible dorm with 12+ beds which is more like a shed/annex made of aluminum without bathroom. This room is not even properly sealed. I would have felt better in a tent. Toilets and showers are just outside with very poor conditions. The only good side was the staff, who were very simpathetic. Other than that, this was just a bad experience I'd rather not have.

My stay was nice and enjoyable. Checkin process is very easy and fast. so lovely and great first impression of hostel.
Amazing place! The owners and staff r so nice, and very helpful. I highly recommend this place.
it’s cozy and nice that you can spend a lot of time just to hang out and chill with other travelers. I Am so glad that I met a lot of most amazing people here.
I really enjoyed the time in the hostel a lot.
secured place to stay in. Plus every morning you wake up,sweet smiles from the owner and the staff (Nyoman ,Yudi and Krishna) a good reason for you to feel you're really at home. They won't give you the feeling of staying just in a hostel instead giving the warmth feeling of a family living together! Hugs and kisses to all the staffs Margarita surf hostel ❤️.

If I got a chance to go back in this place I would definitely choose MARGARITA SURF HOSTEL AGAIN!
