Great hotel and staff, please don’t be put off by the negative reviews, we stayed for 2 weeks and had a fabulous time, not a single cause for complaint.
Both pools are clean and maintained to a high standard.
Restaurant is good for snacks and breakfast.
Room was clean and we had a great balcony with a view of the pool.
With definitely come back, can’t wait :-)

The hotel is located quite far from the main road and it’s very dark during the night. They have awful bed and pillows. And the only amenities they provided in my room were the sanitary bag. Towels were yellowish and they didn’t even bother to replace them after they cleaned our room. Room wasn’t as clean as 5 star hotel should be. Breakfast was basic. Staff were okay. The two good things about this hotel are the pool, which was as good as the picture, and they provided bike rent. Overall, it’s 2/5 for me. There are a lot things need to be improved.

First of all: don’t be fooled by the ‘amazing’ pictures on the website. These pictures are outdated and do not align with the current state.
Secondly: there are offering a spa and wellness centre/lessons. However, the spa looks like a fallen village, abandoned village. Fine if the state is like I described; maybe due to the COVID pandemic, but do not let people think that they can contribute in a yoga class/fitness class or something else.
Furthermore: the termite eggs… why in this world, can you not clean the multiple places with termite eggs, and call yourself a 5 star hotel. Also, we went into the kitchen and the cockroaches were all over it, and more: rotten meat took over the kitchen and the smell was undeniable.

All in all: I cannot recommend this, however the staff is very kind and I hope that the hotel will restart again, better than before, if the above is due to the pandemic

Do not, I repeat DO NOT book this place! I should’ve know It was too good to be true when it said 5 star hotel for the price we paid. First impressions walking in was like walking into the set of “I am legend” with everything overgrown dark and deserted. The lobby is in such an awkward position… finding your room was like going through an hour long maze in the dark. The room was falling apart with raised floorboards,mouldy sinks, leaky aircons… the smell in our room was horrendous! Just when you think it can’t surely get worse, your pillow greets you with a shoe print on it… life is good!

Anyway if you feel like a laugh then book it!

One star can not describe how disgraceful this hotel is. Upon arrival we weren’t sure whether it was the set of a horror movie or what was described online to be a 5-star resort, which it was not.
The only thing that was ‘Grande’ about this hotel was my utter disappointment. The photos online are nothing to go off when trying to determine what Le Grande looks like - you’re better off googling “junk yard” to find more appropriate photos.
When we inspected the room there was yellow goo dripping down the walls, the room wreaked of mould and the entire place was covered in stains, dust and mess. The garden is overgrown and completely unkept with zero pride taken in the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel.
Please if you’re looking for a hotel do not book this - there are better back packer hostels for $10 per night then this. I wouldn’t be surprised if the hotel shut down any minute and If their rooms looked the way they did I couldn’t imagine what their kitchen would look like.
Travellers beware!

Le Grande is nothing like the pictures. The rooms themselves are quite average but the customer service is appalling. The cleans throughout the day were obviously not well done as wet towels were left (we had to ask for new ones), dirty dishes from room service were left in hallways for days, and bugs were throughout the rooms. There were also what we believe to be termite eggs or poo that was left in large clumps around the rooms. We showed the staff pictures of the eggs and asked for them to be cleaned and nothing was done about them. We also had to ask for a safe at the beginning of our stay as there wasn’t one in either of the rooms we booked. When we would call 30-45 minutes in advance for taxis/scooters they would only call them when we arrived at the reception just to tell us it was either another 30minute wait or that there wasn’t any. There was just an overall neglect for customer service and it felt as though the employees didn’t care. Overall was a waste of money for such an expensive and so called 5 star hotel.

Gym, restaurant, 2 pools. Bathroom designs and hotel 4/5, Quality 2/5, food is good. Suite is very spacious. However, due to the pandemic the hotel was hit hard unfortunately and the rooms/furnitures/property needs renovation/maintenance. Pictures are outdated. Service is great. Friendly front desk.
