Great idea of reusing containers as rooms. I’ve stayed in the double room and it was comfortable with large bed and air conditioning. The shower and toilet are outside under roof the only problem with it was the amount of water — sometimes good and at times trickling down making it almost impossible to shower.

An ok stay, it’s too expensive for what you’re getting. Basic room with thin sheet of blanket that you have to share with (if you book the double/twin room), it’s ridiculous. I had to ask for an extra blanket. The outdoor bathroom comes with odd-sized stone steps that are very hard to navigate on. The shower basically doesn’t come with a roof at all, so when it rains, you either have to wait or shower under the rain. It’s said monkeys are to be expected, so made us worry each time we went to bathroom. But thankfully, we didn’t see any during our stay. The ac has an odd temperature, either too cold or too hot. The outside facade is cute, colourful containers, but that’s just about it. Staffs were ok u0026 polite, but they could be trained better to be more receptive, friendlier u0026 less timid with guest. We came for the container experience, ok but not amazing, this place could be so much more with better interior design, facility u0026 service. Tho location is excellent, near to beaches, cafes u0026 shops.

The idea is nice, the room is quite comfortable, double bed made out of 2 single beds, aircon works fine though they ran out of electricity a couple times and we'd wake up melting. There was some weird noises coming from the roof.
Place is clean. Staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable.

Stayed here for a week while surfing in Uluwatu, I loved it! It’s a nice quiet getaway just off of Padang Padang (10 min walk to the surf) with a cool vibe and chill atmosphere. The staff were excellent at helping arrange rides and/or general knowledge about the area. Tip I have is to make sure the dehumidifier is on in your room, the shipping containers tend to get quite damp if it’s not on. Would stay again for sure!

Good location with near access to impossible beach. Also close to restaurants, warungs, ATM and minimart. Possible to rent a scooter nearby. Very nice staff, eager for you to have a nice stay. Clean room and sheets. Comfy bed. Overall I had a great stay for a fair price. Would definitely come back! Cheers guys

Really nice Hostel with big Containers as rooms and shower and toilet outside (but very private). Nice staff. you can w.alk to the beach. takes like 5 minutes. there are some nice restauranrs at the street going fown to the beach. gotta check them out. I slept very well as it isn't very noisy and loud here. I recommend this place. stayed for one night.

For the price and the location, Kubu Containers was exactly what we hoped for! The staff were all really friendly, I’ve seen some reviews saying that their English wasn’t good enough but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all. They helped us book taxis (even for a 4am airport taxi), got us a scooter for 60k a day, and were really accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. If they have any trouble confirming anything immediately, they call their boss and confirm later that day, which was fine.

Room was basic but had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and air con was strong. Sadly the hot water wasn’t always working but it was so hot outside we didn’t mind too much. Nice friendly frog visits every night in the ‘outdoor’ bathroom but he was harmless!

Location was fab - easy walk to shops and restaurants and Padang Padang beach (10k entry fee). Alternatively it’s a 10 min drive to Bingin Beach (5k to park in the day, free at night) which was a hidden gem for a seafood bbq dinner! Also can drive easily to all other sights and beaches. Petrol from all nearby shops was 10k a bottle. Brothers Mart down the road had a good ATM, very cheap 5.5k water bottles and 24 hour WiFi. For some reason my iPhone rejected the Kubu WiFi, so this was super handy, no other devices had issues though, was good enough to download Netflix shows.

If you’re looking for some luxury we spent a day at Blue Heaven hotel about 10 mins walk away where it’s 100k for access to the infinity pool with a fab view, loungers, a drink and a towel :)
