The couple who own this place are just the loveliest people. Unbelievably welcoming, Bart even took us on his motorbike to get a SIM card and drove us to our taxi when we had to leave. Even though we didn’t make it to breakfast, they offer lots of choices for food in the morning and free tea and coffee. Staying in this hostel is basically like living in a giant treehouse, really nice feel to the place. There were even chicks and puppies there (SO cute) definitely recommend if you don’t mind being a little out of the way from the beach, about a 10 minute drive away

This place is incredible. The owners care a lot about their guests. I stayed at the Farmers Yard for 6 weeks. After that, I have visited the place countless times for dinner parties, live music bands, garden sessions, and other fun activities. Highly recommended!

I personally loved this place, first and foremost because the hosts were super helpful when I first arrived here in Bali and had to sort out the basic stuff when you arrive to a new place with the goal stay for a little while.
Farmer's Yard is for you if you enjoy connecting with people and you don't mind sharing your space with a few travelers without A/C. The place is relatively small, far enough from the noisy main road and yet quite central located to wherever you wanna go in Canggu.

Great alternative place for sure!

Bart (the owner) is simply Amazing.
It was my first experience in a hostel, and what an experience !!!
You will receive a warm welcome. If you need anything Bart and his girlfriend will help you.
The place is just perfect to relax and have a good rest. Far from busy hostels where party never ends.
Small detail that can be very important for some people : bring some toilet paper cause there's none in this hostel. That's part of their identity and ecological print.
PS : ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET

Not your typical hostel. If you are looking for hot water, aircon, clean floors then this is not your place. But If you are into chill vibes, lazing around enjoy the Company of super cool hosts and their pets then this is your place.

The staff are friendly and helpful, they helped organise scooter rentals for me. The rooms are clean beds are comfortable, but there is no proper Air conditioning in rooms and the water went off regularly so couldn't shower. the kitchen and chill area is all open plan. Very plain and old. You'll need a scooter to get around if you stay there

Farmers yard is the best. Most people extend their stay because of the communal feeling thanks to the staff. There's artwork on the walls, art materials, musical instruments, hammocks, pillows, a kitchen, and friends to be made. You couldn't ask for more. Stay a few days and you'll feel like family.
