I recently stayed here and had such a relaxing time. The location was great for us we loved Uluwatu so much with the beautiful sunsets and close proximity to great restaurants, Padang Padang beach and beach clubs. The hotel restaurant and bar had great food and were always able to accommodate for vegetarians. The breakfast was great too with plenty of options. The service was excellent with rooms regularly cleaned, helpful and very friendly staff. The hotel was always kept incredibly clean, we had a room with a private pool which was awesome to have and such a big room. The main pool area was really nice and yes some maintenance is required however being so close to the ocean and coming out of covid I can understand why but this didn’t affect our stay in anyway. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Uluwatu and hope to come back again soon!

Had our wedding there. Was a great time! Staff was amazing and helpful. Ate at both the restaurants, enjoyed every meal. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Costs a bit more for the rooms there, but you get way more for your money. Great sunsets!!!!!

We were so disappointed in stay at Anantara Uluwatu. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is really run down and requires immediate renovations and maintenance to even come close to maintaining their 5 star rating. You can see at one point it was definitely beautiful and the location is sensational, but the hotel is 10 years old now and I wouldn’t say it reflects 5 star luxury. Service was great of course (but this is the normal standard in Bali) but for the price we paid per night, the hotel and amenities were not satisfactory at all. Prior to Anantara we had stayed in Seminyak at the Indigo Hotel and this was 5-star and Anantara was no where near this standard or level of luxury. Anantara was almost triple the price we paid for Indigo so our expectations were high and we were totally let down even from when we pulled up. The “grand entrance” was run-down and the tiles under the Anantara sign were in need of a big clean/replacement- this set the tone for the rest of the hotel. While there are definitely some picturesque areas, our main impression was it was really run-down and not a 5-star hotel, nor reflected the hype/price. In this case, pictures of the hotel did not reflect what we saw and that’s why I’m writing this review! I wish we had read more before we stayed!

Not only a beautiful hotel (rooms, pool, restaurants, gym) - but also a fantastic staff (from manager to reception to cleaning to everyone really), all so positive and smiling always. We felt perfectly taken care of. At last, also the area around the hotel is very nice and safe for dinners u0026 massages outside the resort. 100% recommendable.

The room was spacious and clean however the shower hadn't been cleaned properly. Full of scale and the outdoor jacuzzi pumped brown water which shocked us given the price of this hotel. The pool area is great with excellent pool waiters. The restaurant food is good and the breakfast buffet has good variety. Overall it did not meet expectations given the issues with the shower and jacuzzi and so I won't recommend it

Had a very memorable 3 nights honeymoon staycation, ocean front pool suite is definitely amazing and has a breathtaking view. Staffs are very friendly and accomodating, starting from the receptionist, waiters, and even the photographer. We also had dinner at Dining by Design, where the chapel was beautifully decorated and perfect for a romantic fine dining. Tried all the restaurants and every food has a good taste, but the breakfast still could be improved. There are a lot of activities that we can try, and the free 30 minute photo session was very fun.

The best time to visit is during weekday since it is not crowded and feel very safe to visit during pandemic.

Just beware of the monkey when eating the floating breakfast????

Spacious rooms, with a jacuzzi facing sunsets on your balcony! Could improve a bit on the breakfast menus, the dinner is tasty and flavorful! Friendly staffs, breathtaking views from the pool, on a cliff, overlooking the ocean. Some of my complaints are
(a)from the room down to the pool is quite a journey, so many...many steep stairs. I traveled with my pregnant wife, and my 68 year old Mom, and my 4year old son, and it's quite an exercise just to go down the pool (and back!) should have extended elevators down to the pool too.
(b) The shower drain in our room somehow didn't work properly and water flows out from the glass door. And the bum gun is awkwardly positioned, with very short and stiff hose, not convenient at all.
(c) please improve a bit cleanliness of the room. The hotel is quite old but can use some repairs. The drawer containing the SDB jammed the cupboard doors everytime I close it. Some fragrance might help as the sofa or I'm not sure what, but it releases some humid odors.
Hotel gives you a free photo sessions shoot(thank you!) but you'll have to pay for the copies, but it's worth it. Thank you Mr. Surya!
