Surprisingly unremarkable. I stopped by because there was a 50% discount on all food, and the reviews looked pretty positive.
I ordered the tonkatsu Ramen, the schezuan pork dumplings, and the sesame ice cream at the recommendation of the server after I asked what was most popular.
The Ramen broth was just ok. Noodles were cooked alright. The halved egg was barely a runny yoke; and the star of the show, the chasu, included too much fat, cut much too large, and cooked improperly - I couldn't cut with my teeth as expected. There was also mushrooms included that seemed undercooked, I love mushrooms but unfortunately not how these ones were prepared which is a first for me.
The gyoza had a bit too thick of a shell, and were quite dry inside. The spice was good, but couldn't make up for the lacking moisture - the black vinegar improved it just barely.
And the ice cream, took some time to come out and was ok but served a touch too melted for being the only customer in the store. The sesame ice cream was served with strawberries in the middle of a sweet cracker shaped into a ring, with a peanut and caramel sauce beneath the cold dessert.
Overall these flavors didn't mesh well, sweet/sour strawberry, sesame dairy, and peanut with reduced sugar - there's room for improvement as there is with all dishes.
Overall it is edible, but definitely not my favorite and I'm glad I didn't pay full price or I'd be a bit more disappointed.
Reviews say the yakitori is good, so perhaps I'll try that sometime, but I don't think I'll be giving the Ramen or dumplings another shot.
Ramen Hamatora and Tygr are my recommendations for good Ramen in the area.
If you want to give them a shot here, go on Thursday between 2-4pm for less disappointment when factoring in your wallet.
