Nice place, and it got that Yogyakarta vibes since it is a private residence after all. Food was quite good, but the bathroom is dirty, the flush doesn't working properly, the floor seems never get washed, and there's a lot of mosquito on the side of the bathtub. At least they also got a nice outdoor medium-sized pool

I arrived late in Yogyakarta so I had to choose this guest house that in pictures it seemed acceptable.

But the problems started when I arrived. The receptionist was smoking at the reception.

Dirty rooms, the shower doesn't work and is disgusting, don't have remote control of the air conditioned, so if you need to adjust the temperature at 2 in the night, you have to go to the reception to ask to change the temperature.

But the worst was that there wasn't hygienic paper in the room so I ask to give me it, but the reply was:

"We don't have now, ask tomorrow morning"!!!

Absurd!

Worst hotel ever!

This place offers spacey rooms with two single beds each. Good choice for backpackers or tourist with low budget that already know their destination and have clean arrangement to visit and enjoy the city instead of staying in the room. But nonetheless it's cozy and facilitated with sitting toilet and hot water, also medium swimming pool. The area itself is located near the bars, cafes, and restaurants, so you it won't troubles you if you looking for places to hangout at night. The street is already well known within the circles of international tourists and backpackers. Low budget? You have your option here.

Nyaman, berasa rumah, harga ekonomis. Fasilitas seadanya saya rasa wajar, dan lebih cocok untuk backpacker yang sudah siap menikmati suasana kota Jogja ketimbang berdiam di kamar.

An old house re-setting into a hostel. Reasonable price, but need some renewal here and there. Most challenging one is, live music from the cafe across the road during the night.

Every year I have trip in Yogyakarta, I always stay on Jl Prawirotaman, and at Wisma Gajah guesthouse too, only 2 night and stay in Malang the next day. So if you need transportation in Malang, no worries. search Zaini Transport on google. DAILY TRANSPORT SERVICE.
