If you ok with share bedroom, The Cubic is good choice because the price is cheap and quite comfortable for backpackers, they provide brekafast like instant noodle and bread, and also free flow coffee and tea, staff is very friendly.

Is little bit hard to find The Cubic because the place inside the alley but not far from the road.

I think this place is maybe the best alternative homestay in Yogyakarta with much affordable price. The facilities with this price are considered to be the most complete in its area including 5 bathroom, wastafel, breakfast, water, parking and of course a spacious private room. Receptionist is also a kind person who will help you almost anything. Surely will be back again if I had an opportunity ????

I think the cubic jogja is the best capsule hotel that I've tried. It has the best money for value in it class. From the room, bathroom, lobby, and services. Good job for the cubic jogja

Low cost stay in jogja. Very comfot place and complete facilities. You can get hot shower, cold shower, free drinks, free tea, free coffee, towel, blanket, locker, sajadah, social place, noodle with egg, rlroated bread free for breakfast. Enjoy this place

I like to stay in hostel if the location is in local neighborhood so I really feel like a home.
It's a new hostel, just running a couple month.The location is not near the tourist area but you can use local bus (trans Jogja bus) to get there.It's a little bit difficult to find because there is no sign and you have to walk through an alley (just at the opposite of Wiworo Tjipto mosque).The bed is pretty comfortable, clean, has a locker inside, the wifi is good.The breakfast is okay, toast bread, coffee or tea, even you can cook (provide free instant noodle/ramen)
by self service.The common room is okay.The bathroom is a little bit small but it's acceptable.Hot water/Cold water is available.The owner (staffs) are friendly and helpful.
