One of the best wedang ronde in Jogjakarta. Delicious ginger soup which was not too spicy, a rose-flavored kolang kaling, and ronde made from from housemade sticky rice flour.

Don't be fooled by the small space, we almost skipped the place because of the look.

The grandma who own the ronde's recipe is already over 92 years old. But she is still sitting happily near her ronde's stall everyday chatting with her grand grand daughter.

The taste of the ronde itself is fantastic. Warm gingery and sweet soup will make your night in Jogja even more memorable. It is sweet and savory with some toppings like nuts, jelly and sweet balls included.

The price of one serving bowl or ronde is 6000 IDK. So affordable for such local amazing experience. A must try if you are nearby Malioboro!

The legendary wedang ronde mbah payem, served by very old granny. But great taste of ronde. Maybe she has secret additions :)) , you cant just say "two wedang ronde" in english. You should say it in literally old-polite javanese, like "wedang ronde, kalih, mbah" ????

Very caring lady who attempted to make sure I had a good meal through body language because she couldn’t speak English. Very sincere and nice. Definitely a must try if you are in the area. Cheap and full of love. Support her business! Have no idea what’s inside the soup, I think there’s peanut, jelly and some ginger.
