1st time coming back after pak Tedjo passed away in 2017.
Better queuing line, with self-service drink.
Slight change of taste tho

Now with +7 cars parking slot at the west side of the premise.

They cook the fried rice in a large portion, so when I order they just re-heat it. The portion is pretty big tho.

A longstanding Jogja stalwart for those in the know, a heritage institution for a limited circle of enthusiasts, this humble semiestablishment -- est. 1968 and has changed locations several times but always around Pasar Beringharjo area -- is, just like another Jogja institution, the angkringans, is a difficult one to recommend to those who did not spend their formative years in Jogja as a student and had never had meals in this makeshift warung, i.e. those without emotional attachment to Jogja.
For just like angkringan, dining here is not merely about taste, rasa. It is also as much about 'roso', something I won't even attempt to interpret into English due to its abundance of nuance.

Nasi Goreng Babi Pasar Beringharjo, introduced to me by my father years and years ago. And tonight as I am polishing this plateful of nasgorbab, I look around me and see the new generation of future nasgorbab Beringharjo enthusiasts, kids, students, who perhaps weren't even born yet when I used to bring my dates here

One of legendary eating places in Yogyakarta. Their Nasi Goreng Babi is the most favorite dish people are craving for. The chopped pork is big and many. Taste is fair enough. A local nasi goreng with Chinese touch. Their bakmi goreng babi tastes better, for me. And also the babi kecap.

Price is very cheap for this big portion of Nasi Goreng Babi, only 13K. Best place to eat pork when pay day is still far enough. No wonder if there is always queue in dinner time.

If you are looking for a night-culinary adventure, this one is a must try food. I had Nasi Goreng Babi (Pork Fried Rice) and Bakmi Rebus Babi (Pork Noodle Soup). Only cost me 16K each. For the Nasi Goreng the taste is quite light for me. But the Bakmi Rebus is superb! The broth is very thick and tasty. You can taste the garlic, the chili and pepper, and the salt. They cook it traditionally, using anglo stove and charcoal. Plus they make it per portion, so they can maintain the taste. I recommend you have the food spicy. You won't regret it!
