The museum is quiet as the guests were just my friend and me. We got a guide to explore and tell us about the museum things. Bot the ticket and guide were free. I was sleepy so I didn't pay proper attention thorough the explanations from the guide. The museum is located in strategic place and famous people tend to visit this museum too. So, if you're lucky, you can meet those people in your next visit. The Instagram page is also updated with knowledge and information about intelligence unit and cryptography.

We really love this museum, not only they are open when public holiday, but also for the guidance.. how they tell us the story behind every stuff, moments, pictures and people who involved.
If you come to yogyakarta, especially with your kids, you need to give this museum a visit.

The museum it self was very clean n tidy. They do a really good job to preserve all of the stuff. I agree most of the visitors said, this museum is underrated..

National Encryption Museum (hope this translate right), shows the history of indonesian special forces during Deutch occupation and the development of encryption technology during war times. Included the technological marvel from Russia, German, Ukraine, and even local made for text and phone encryption. From Gramedia building, head straight to tugu jogja but take left after McD restaurant, you will find the building in the middle of the road.

This museum is underrated. It's full of historical story. The building itself is the original witness for cryptography development in Indonesia. There are information texts in English for international visitors. Unfortunately, some information texts were covered with the collections. Entrance ticket was free, there's parking space available. Too bad that they only have few visitors for a day. The staff was informative and friendly if you'd like to ask more questions regarding the coding and history. The whole visitation will take time about 60 minutes, including watching the video.

When I went to this place, I was amazed with their hospitality. I got a caesar Cipher, a souvenir, that it is used to play with words and code. They provided me with a whole explanation of the history of code since Sumerian Era until Indonesia Independence day. I saw all of the code machine and later,I play with the code game in the computer. I failed to break the code, but I was happy. I had a fruitful day with new knowledge. I definitely recommend all of you to come to this place. Its free of charge.

It is one of the best museum I have found. The staff are very friendly (it is the characteristic of the people of Jogjakarta) and the museum is not too big, so you can enjoy the collection of this museum without getting tired. I love that all of this place is air conditioned. You can also know the father of cypher/code in Indonesia here. Surprise, surprise! There is something that you will get from the staff. What is that? Are you curious? Please visit the museum, especially because no ticket fee. This place is easily accessible and not too far from Malioboro.
