Its Heritage Hotel, I mean the owner really love about heritage. You should try to spend the night at Mustokoweni Hotel.
In the morning you'll get your local breakfast and meal. Enjoy it with a cup of tea and rocksugar. Not enough for once breakfast hahaha...
There's a coffee shop around hotel but still in hotel, and there's batik gallery.

Lovely garden setting but employees were obnoxious! The two sales assistance at the Batik shop saw us searching for the shop on the garden grounds, neither greeted us nor directed us to the shop.
Batik shop assistants were unhelpful and awfully rude!
Lights went out when we were there, instead of showing us their Batik collections, one staff was pointing their chin to the pile of batiks instead of physically taking it off the shelf. We had to use our mobile phone torch light to guide us in the dark. Lady at hotel/guesthouse reception was friendly and apologetic for her fellow colleagues at the batik shop. I hope they'll improve their services once the hotel starts to function.

It's an epic yet old building. It has old style building and room. It has a big backyard with lots of trees and bushes. The outdoor area is so comfy and green. It has a small meeting room and only a few rooms. It's a bit creepy indeed. But the owner takes care this plcae very well. It has batik showroom at the receptionist. They have plenty of unique and great collections. Full during holidays and weekends. There is a flea market every saturdays. The parking area is narrow. Located next to Tentrem Hotel and just 5 minutes from Tugu Jogja (white pals)

Well preserved old building that adopts Dutch Indische style. It has lush tropical garden, and you can find rare edible plant such as "Buah Kepel" ,that Javanese folks says only nobles may grow this tree u0026 consume its fragrant fruits.

Hotel may temporary closed for renovation, yet within this premises , you can also find the flag shop of "Galeri Batik Jawa", a recognised brand of Javanese hand painted u0026 natural dye (mainly - indigo blue u0026 yellow jalawe) Javanese batik in Indonesia. Premium batik, and surprisingly the price is reasonable. So - if you a batik lovers / oriental art - put is as MUST visit destination during your travel.

Much adore the founder persistency, as the process must consume a lot of efforts u0026 many years to make those be possible.

Visit Pasar Mustokoweni every Saturday. Many local artisant product sale in here. Find Mazaraat cheese :)

really appreciate hotel mustokoweni for hosting Pasar Sehat Mustokoweni every two weeks! Nice place, nice ambiance!
