[++] I prefer this kind of gudeg where the sweetness is mild and yet also has decent spiciness from the krecek

This is my first time visiting this place, it is inside alley, and don’t have much seating area if you want to dine in, have area for parking just across this place, just go inside and choose what would you like to eat. I like the taste of gudeg pawon since it’s not to sweet and a bit spicy and i like this kind of combination, must try

This is my first experience here.

I was there after fasting break, around 7:15PM, the seller said she opened starting from 5:00PM but I saw only few guests so we didn't took any queue.

The place is clean, easy to find, you might notice there are some locals gather around in front of the street to help you park your car.

And as the title literally means, gudeg pawon is where you can meet the seller in her kitchen. I guess breadtalk stole this concept, its an open kitchen so you can see their chef cook and prepare the meals.

So now comes to the dish, down to the bottomline I can say that overall it is above average but close to very good. It is good but not that good.

It is a wet-type gudeg, I like the cow skins, but it is accompanied with tempe rather than tofu which I like most. The rice is ok, and also the egg. But the chicken should be better than it was. I just can't find the balance between the chicken meat and the others. Its like a musical parade that one of the player went a false tone.

Went here before opening hours and second later tons of people came and start to filled up the place. the place is not really big, and we eat wherever we want. the taste is good, the price is pretty high and the portion is normal.

The pandemic makes favorite eating places that are usually crowded, quite convenient to visit. Gudeg Pawon a traditional warm place to eat. The taste it self quite good. Feel for yourself and don't forget to maintain health protocol.

It is a house converted to small resto but surprisingly always there is a queue in here
So if you want to at least give it a try.. at least try once.

The gudeg is tasty. But prepare for the long queue.
I waited for 2 hours for this gudeg

And this gudeg place only opens at night. Usually from 9pm to midnight

Well, something to try at least once ????
