I think this is one of most humble restaurants I've ever visited. The food is perfectly seasoned, not too much or less. I like iga bakar (rib BBQ) best, although I think the rather sweet taste won't be familiar for non Asian.

The place is not fancy at all, it is an old building with old furniture. It's purely a place to eat. If you look for good food with affordable price in Balaraja, you must visit Rumah Makan Cide.

This place is like a gem. On the side of main road littered with factories there lies a modest traditional restaurant.
Me and my fam tried their fried free ranged chicken, roasted rib, empal (Indonesian sweet fried beef), sayur asem (sour soup), prawn fritters.
Overall all the food here was delicious, they Cooked the chicken in such way that the seasoning could be tasted until the inner part of the chicken meat. The roasted rib had the right kind of sweet and smoky signature taste of a grilled meat. The prawn fritters, which they thoughtfully took of the skin, was tasty.
The sour soup also hits the right pallate, fresh and sour yet not overbearing.
The place was run by a family, you can see all the members of family has been assigned a role, a specialist in each of their station.
Having said that, the selection of some menu also varies from day to day, I didn't get a chance to taste their fish dishes,coz they ran out of it.
After a long drive from Jakarta,this place is worth the trip! I would gladly return again.

Local fried chicken served with chilly paste is considerably nice and tender. Better come before lunch time. They served freshly fried chicken for each serving.

This is the best place to eat around in west balaraja area. Dont let the out take of the store fool you. The interior is quite clean and hygiene. But the best from this place is the "bakwan udang" some type of fried shrimp with local dough that is very nice. It has a big and fresh shrimp inside the bakwan.

If you are aiming for healthier choice like me, you could always get the beef soup or "sop daging" which taste very nice. The broth just taste perfect with the nicely cooked beef so it is tender and juicy.

If you are ever in this area. Please do try and you will be welcomed with nice hospitality and great service here.

I hardly found food in nearby. So when i eat in here with my boss i think taste is okay. Mostly i eat sop daging without rice or take a half rice.
Portion for rice is unbelievable for woman (IMHO) sop daging a little bit pricey since in my soup only less then 10 piece meat.
If you working nearby maybe this one can be your favorite.
