This place is like a gem. On the side of main road littered with factories there lies a modest traditional restaurant.
Me and my fam tried their fried free ranged chicken, roasted rib, empal (Indonesian sweet fried beef), sayur asem (sour soup), prawn fritters.
Overall all the food here was delicious, they Cooked the chicken in such way that the seasoning could be tasted until the inner part of the chicken meat. The roasted rib had the right kind of sweet and smoky signature taste of a grilled meat. The prawn fritters, which they thoughtfully took of the skin, was tasty.
The sour soup also hits the right pallate, fresh and sour yet not overbearing.
The place was run by a family, you can see all the members of family has been assigned a role, a specialist in each of their station.
Having said that, the selection of some menu also varies from day to day, I didn't get a chance to taste their fish dishes, coz they ran out of it.
After a long drive from Jakarta, this place is worth the trip! I would gladly return again.
