Nice place. Especially while you love Indonesian palace style. It’s just too dusty. Please clean it well. Ticket price is about 15.000 IDR while I visited. To visit here, really a lil bit difficult and the road is not that spacious. The local are nice people.

It’s a palace. You need to pay 15.000 for local, I don’t know about foreigner. You can pay some guide to guide and explain. But, it’s just a little side of the palace that open for public.

We visited the Keraton in a weekday morning, so it's rather quiet and enjoyable. We asked for Guide, and thanks to pak Kardi and Vero who shared so many stories about life in a Keraton. Unfortunately, during pandemic we could only visit the east wing (museum), and not allowed to visit the courtyard and its famous tower. Would give 5-star if we could visit the courtyard!

Buy your ticket at the museum, at the east corner of the palace. You can park car in front of the main palace gate, just to the south from Alun-alun Utara, or in the alun-alun if it's full and walk a bit. There're e-scooters for rental too! Entrance is 15k/person and guide fee is 70k. You can browse the museum yourself, but the Guide can make your visit more lively. Please wear trousers or long skirts, not shorts.

Visited the museum - sad because the displays were dirty u0026 we cannot enter the palace due to Covid restrictions but managed to see soldiers performing their shift routines at 4PM. Still worth the visit.

Ticket entry museum : IDR 15k per person no guide, IDR 50k per person with guide.

You can also experience the entire palace tour with guide for 50k riding a Becak :)

Historical palace in the Surakarta, Central Java. The main gate is very unique and the view deck so antique. Beautiful

Should be hisyorical, but the surrounding is so dirty. Garbages everywhere especially when entering from balaikota direction and around the alun-alun. Everything seems running down. Surprisingly seems not well maintained, amidst a palace.

The palace of the old Surakarta Sultanate now being used as a museum. There are some objects of interest, but perhaps it is the architecture that is the most interesting. One has to wonder if the palace and the collection are being well-maintained. There is a small entrance fee.
